"There will be a really high level volleyball game... and that football game" That is part of a question about what Lincoln will be like this weekend with both Wisconsin volleyball and football playing there. Ugh, I wish I didn't find that as funny as I did, but what can you do? I'll just be happy I care more about the currently high level Wisconsin program!

Dek recently went on a pretty good run about this. I'd have to go back and really dig through the data before I was convinced of his take on the FB side, but the easy side of the equation is that VB and MBB consistently deliver winning programs and beat top 25 opponents all the time. x.com/dekker/status/1853040369182613627

I feel like this is pretty amazing for Saige considering she stepped up just a couple hours before the game.

I feel like this is pretty amazing for Saige considering she stepped up just a couple hours before the game. More likely they knew GG was going to play earlier, so Damrow was probably aware she'd be playing for longer than that, just not at libero. My guess from the video of Schumacher getting hit is that they *maybe* had an hour to get ready, knowing that neither GG nor Schumacher was going to play, and it would be Damrow at libero. But yes, impressive any way you look at it.

This is a great recent interview/convo with former Badger Izzy Ashburn. Talks about Badgers culture, her true height, and much more.

I feel like this is pretty amazing for Saige considering she stepped up just a couple hours before the game. Also considering that she passed a 2.50 despite 3 REs! Which usually tanks your rating. Her good passing pct would look even better.

Lookin like an 8th could be reality this season. The thing about hockey that kinda sucks is that they normally play best of 3 games throughout the season. Especially against tougher competition & in the final four games it is lose & go home. That aspect just makes it that much harder to win a National Championship in hockey in my opinion. Wisconsin’s last title (2021) is an example of a team getting hot at the right time, being the first unseeded team to win the natty. Okay hockey rant done

Wisconsin’s last title (2021) is an example of a team getting hot at the right time, being the first unseeded team to win the natty. Okay hockey rant done The only series during the year that is "3 games" is the first round of the eight-team conference tournament (and it's fairly rare for those to go three games). During the regular conference schedule, teams will play two games over the weekend, and the eight teams in the conference will play each other team two weekends, home-and-home. So each pair will play one another four times over the regular season. The semi-final and final of the conference tournament are 'single elimination', as are the three/four rounds of the NCAA tournament. (And the most recent national championship for Wisconsin was in 2023, not 2021. It was that 2023 tournament when the Badgers beat the #3 seed, then #2, then #1. In 2021, Wisconsin won as the #2 seed.)
