To be accurate, the camera showed no such thing. Because no such thing occurred.
It really did. I saw it. And why would her dad argue with her?
We quite regularly decry the NCAA because they won't or can't implement the international video review systems, and leave us with TV and the often blurry and misleading camera shots they provide, where it's hard to see much of anything. Yet what you guys offer up here is exactly those blurry shots, when I point you to this video below?!? Why would she argue with her dad? Because she didn't touch the ball. https://www.tiktok.com/@dana_rettke/video/7043970220599528751

Oh, the uber crazy Nebraska fans make me giggle. I mean, what else do they have to live for besides their volleyball team? No major league sports, and letās be realāNebraska isnāt exactly Ivy League material either. Nebraska has a 79% acceptance rate compared to Wisconsinās 49% fyi Iām a twenty-something year old girl who unexpectedly lost her dad a few months ago. You can go ahead and choose maturity and peace tonight, but I absolutely will not. LOL š I suggest you plant a cottonwood tree from Lincoln above your dadās grave for better Nebraska shade. š³

I'm kind of unclear why we're still litigating this 3 years later, but okay. Here's my $0.02.
I was in the Gregory Gym for the infamous 2015 Florida v. Texas Elite 8 match where THE CALL knocked Florida out of the tournament, and there was no challenge review recourse despite the entire gym knowing that the ball was unquestionably in, and despite both teams having played with video review all season - the NCAA hadn't put it into the tournament yet, so Florida was screwed and that's how Carly Snyder's career ended.
When it's something so consequential as a match point in a tournament game? Of course you challenge. I'm glad the Husker fans don't get to walk around saying "Wisconsin only won because a stupid blind ref missed an obvious touch call." We know for sure.
And besides., if it weren't for that challenge and subsequent touch call on review, we would not have gotten "Hilley to Rettke... ONE! LAST! TIME!" The way things shook out, Dana and Syd got to end their NCAA career and win themselves a Natty doing the thing that the two of them, specifically, together, did best. It was only fitting. So I'm cool with it.

You know things were bad when Julia is mad. Punzel:
āItās just bad because we didnāt put up a fight,ā said senior captain Julia Orzol. āIt wasnāt a loss with fighting spirit, competing to the best of our abilities. A lot of things were not clicking and we did not put in enough effort to figure it out early enough.ā
āEach set we were able to come back but we need to toughen up to stay in those endings in the red zone and not panic,ā Orzol said. āI feel like thatās happening a lot. It needs to happen individually, but also bringing people around with you. Thatās a super important thing that we need to be better at.
āThere were just too many errors that just got in our way of gaining any momentum. Being able to find a way of jumping on them instead of being dominated. It hurts. If you go down after playing good, quality volleyball, it (stinks) but you can live with that.ā
No naming of names but it isn't hard to figure out who is struggling out there.

Be careful Julia, you led the team in errors. Maybe she was talking about herself?
