CC picked #16 by the Indy Ignite, announced by Izzy Ashburn (who apparently is putting her math and MBA degrees to use for the Ignite?) Hilley to CC! YASSSSS, a trip to Indy is now in my future.

Also, FWIW for CC fans, CC got drafted ahead of Charities Luper, Leyla Blackwell and Cara Cresse. Though I wonder if there are some geography based selections going on.

I think we're still safe to get a 2 seed in the tournament. So, we have 4 home games left vs. easy opponents over the next 2 weeks. Hopefully that's enough time to get Lola and GG back into the lineup and tune up our game. Lots of practice time opportunities as well over the next couple of weeks at home. To get to Elite 8, we'll need to win on a neutral court vs. a team like AZ State, Purdue, Kansas, Texas and such. We have shown we can beat teams of this caliber (early TX loss aside), but we'll need to bring it. If we make it past that, we'll be up against a home team like Pitt, NE, Louisville or PSU/Creighton/Stanford. If we make it that far, and we're healthy, anything can happen. Obviously, it would be nice to avoid NE or Pitt, but I'm not too optimistic about that, but who knows. I would love to get another crack at Louisville or Stanford in Elite 8. We are 10th in KPI which I believe is factored in to the seeding. Not sure we get a 2 seed. We won't get the 5/6 seed, so honestly I think I'd rather get a 11/12 seed over a 7-10 seed so we would avoid Nebraska/Pittsburgh in the regionals. That's going to be a hard ask. We'd have to lose out as we're ranked 8th by most pundits.

It's possible, like the NFL, that certain players want (or do not want) to play in certain places; just because they get drafted, doesn't mean they will play in the PVF (they can always go overseas). So, I imagine some of it is geography based (Like Indy trading the 1st draft pick to Atlanta so Atlanta can get Merritt -- Merritt may not want any more snow to deal with regularly )

#31 - Anna Smrek to Orlando Avid seems to think she's going overseas and they tend to know what they're talking about. But would be fun to see her in Orlando. I kind of think her first year she is a situational sub while she works on ... whatever skill (backrow defense or closing to the pins) that she needs to play pro ball.

Anyone know the relationship between the players Lola is sharing on her story? Just curious, she’s shared a few different drafted posts: Anna Debeer, Elena Scott, Taylor Trammel and Nina Cajic. All heading to Indy maybe that’s her favorite PVF team?

BREAKING NEWS: The Orlando Supernovas have deleted all of the social media posts re:Smrek, so avid 2.0, as usual is correct.
