Why would either CC or Dev transfer? Because the one that stirs the straw is not due back ... Hammill ? I don’t think Hammill’s leaving factors much into CC or Dev’s decision making. I think it’s the log jam. Since there are few if any situations available to them more appealing than what they will have at Wisconsin notwithstanding the logjam, I think their choice is either make a final run at it next year or retire despite having one year of eligibility remaining. |

2024 Number 1 goal should be to FIX libero position. Hopefully Dammrow or Schumacher are up to the challenge. I’m not convinced that Orzol isn’t the libero again next year. Switch to a 5-1 with Charlie setting and moving Robinson over to take TTAs spot doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibilities. Coaching staff will put the best players out there in the best positions. I think GG still has a big roll to play. Orzol had SEVEN digs in the entire match last night. Let's not pretend Orzol is a top Libero here. Hope Kelly allows an actual competition an not to defer to a very popular teammate. |

When he was asked about turning Kelli Bates into the libero for that year, his answer was he was just looking for ways to put his seven best players on the floor. That philosophy has obviously not changed, nor will it. |

Nobody had a good night last night. IDK what happened. Sheff needs to get better at making in-game adjustments. For sure. But who would we have put on the floor last night who was any better? I also hope for true open competition next year. I think we will have it. I also will not be surprised if Oz wins it. |

GG and Franklin both struggled in serve recieve. Setting was not great. Smrek played well. |

Smrek played well. Her block was the only thing holding Skinner to a .220 or so hitting% last night (because I don't think our backrow dug anything from Skinner). She also went for 13 kills with no errors hitting .500+. Just want to highlight that because Anna has consistently showed up in the latter rounds of the tourney ever since she came to Wisconsin. Sadly no one helped her out last night. |

BADGER Fans
First of all, congratulations on a great season. I know it fell slightly short of the goal but, to be sure, you guys were a top 5 team all year and number one for most of it.
As we look towards next season, I have to ask, "What's up with having a huge intersport tournament on Marquette 'turf'?"
We had a disappointing year so I don't think we're worthy of an invitation but I have to wonder why this couldn't have been held in Madison.
Okay, I got that off my chest. Have a great off season and we'll see you in Madison sometime in early September.

I personally think Orzol is coaches fav. Of course her teammates love her too. Not disputing that Orzol is so adorable heck I was typing through tears of joy seeing her win that NCAA academics award the other day. ☺️ But I sincerely hope that she is not libero and that Dammrow/Schumacher ball out and win the position outright. GG not sure she's gonna have the emotional fortitude to hold up for rigors. If for some reason Orzol reverts back to outside hitter then we'll have a different debate does Julia bring enough of a threat on the front row? |
