No one interpreted anything Cook was being an ass. He was mad he lost, which I totally understand, but as a coach, he needs to work on his public speaking/media training. even nebraska fans thought he was being an ass. And you always think he is an ass. Because his public persona is. I dont know him personally. I cant speak to that. I can speak to what multiple people who do know him told me, and what I perceive in the media. Yesterday was NOT a good look for him and you would have to be about as biased as biased can be to not admit that |

I think it’s so funny the announcers presume she is the heir-apparent to start on the Olympic team. Like, baby, have you ever seen Washington or Obogu play? I don’t even think she will be on the roster over Rettke who is having a pretty solid season over seas. She’s stellar, but it made me chuckle that they were insinuating she an automatic starter for the Olympic team Starter? No I definitely think she can make it though I dont mean to be rude, but hasn't washington been flopping lately? I watched her score 14 points in 3 sets last week against a good Trinto team. I’d say she’s doing just fine. |

I watched her score 14 points in 3 sets last week against a good Trinto team. I’d say she’s doing just fine. I was wrong then. I dont follow the international scene, just what i read on here, and people were not to high on her here. She’s probably the best USA MB we have. Her and Obogu are really elite players that we are lucky to have on the USA roster. I tbh don’t think Asija will make the roster, BUT has a solid shot at the 2028 roster after a few years in international (or now professional US) play. |

Most of this is rooted in misogynistic stereotypes that male athletes aren’t held to…I thought this space was to talk about the future and athleticism of the programs. Time to move on. |

I have defended cook against wisconsin fans who had the audacity to say sheffield was a better coach. Cook is the best coach in the game Doesnt change his personality to the public at least |

so, who do we need to serve us in practice to be better next year... feels like every year Cook stresses that serving hard and passing well is the goal but we didn't serve tough whole season and really didnt pass well @ NC. it's obviously the natty and that would affect anyone, but still. O'Neal is graduating, right? Maybe we can hire her over the summer to serve bombs at practice. They should have gotten more practice on a gym floor above an ice rink before the final 4. (Unless they did and I didn't hear about it). The ball can move more and it sure didn't look like they were ready to handle that. It wasn't about freshman vs experienced players, at this point they have all had lots of volleyball mileage. It was simply a serve and pass match, because at this level, in system termination is high on both sides of the net. Anyway, some of our outsides were suspect in serve receive plenty of times this year. It caught up to us in the natty. I always think it's funny how in highschool the seniors are getting kudos for their experience and the underclassmen get their knocks. The seniors get praised for a good play because of their experience..."oh that was a senior play!". And then that same player goes to the next level and all of a sudden, "oh that was a freshman mistake", they lack experience, blah blah blah. and then it's the pro level and same thing all over again. It's mostly garbage talk to fill up the air. |

Does speculation about Landfair to Nebraska make any sense? Assuming no other transfers out, they will have four scholarship OH's on the roster next fall - Murray, Krause, Batenhorst and Pierce. Why would they need Landfair? |
