Agree that this is an extremely hard prediction with so much unknowns. Although it feels like this team has way more talent and it seems the program is ready to start moving up. This prediction is what I think they are capable of with this schedule. Non- conference, they could go 10-2. Conference is obviously much harder but I think they are capable of 6 wins. So possibly 16-16. Anything is possible, but Iowa was 0-20 in conference in 2023 and were not competitive. In the final 9 conference matches they failed to even win a game. How are you “capable” of winning 6 matches this season? Who are the teams you believe you can now beat? Barnes appears overwhelmed and is not recruiting B1G level players. Almost every 2023 B1G team is better than they were a year ago. The 4 incoming PAC12 teams all have rosters that are substantially better than the current Iowa roster. I don’t know the NIL resources available at Iowa, but they certainly weren’t overused in reconstructing the 2024 team. It is gonna be a rough slog for Iowa in 2024. If Iowa wins more than 2-3 matches I would be surprised. Good luck 🏐 Okee dokeee. Let’s mark this post and see how it looks in November. If they a closer to 16 wins you have to wear an IOWA shirt and post it. If they are closer to 3 wins, I’ll wear baby clothes with a pacifier. |

Yep with just 1 starter returning, I figured this might be the ranking. Too many unknowns right now for Iowa. Will be interesting to see if this new talent comes out swinging.

We can only go up after pulling an 0-fer last season. Word is our new setter and Libero are significant upgrades. Hope we can get some pins to terminate this year, and middles to play defense! GoHawks!

Agree...although I do miss the little emoji that gave a hint in the past. Any scoop on who this might be? Would not be surprised if DS/L for either '25 or '26. We definitely need back row reinforcements starting next season. |

Ammeraal is a huge upgrade...huge. So fun to watch! Athletic, aggressive and much moxie! (not unlike Loxley Keala ) And also have a very strong back-up setter in incoming Freshman Jenna Meitzler, which is a great luxury to have. |
