Anyone have scoop on either Sydney Dennis (as referenced in earlier post, she is no longer on FIU 2024 fall roster/no FIU on her Instagram) or Moravec? Obviously Moravec is not going to play anywhere this fall...still bit intrigued by whatever happened with her. Wish the best for them, as well as for the former Hawks who are playing this fall at the programs to which they transferred: Toyosi Onabanjo, Kacia Brown, Nia Washington, Kaia Mateo, Addie VanderWeide, Bailey Ortega and Amanda Darling (except against the Hawks on 9/7  ). I believe that is everyone in that category. Did you have comments on this that maybe didn't come through here? |

Anyone planning on attending the Black & Gold scrimmage this Sat? This one should be SOOOOO interesting and should tell us a lot!! I was just going to ask the same thing. This will be the first year I'll miss in a while. The last few years it's been fairly obvious from watching they were going to struggle. Ultimately, they need players that are able to terminate & play defense consistently against Big 10 competition. I'm skeptical this is the year but would be thrilled if I am wrong. |

I won’t make it either. Out of town. Enjoyed watching the Badgers tonight. Will be interesting to see how they come around. A few injuries but they should all be back.

I wanna hear some info on the Libero Joy Galles from anyone attending. She’s a great player that never got enough love at Arizona. She will be big for the Hawkeyes. I went to 3 of their spring tournaments & she clearly will upgrade their serve receive & defense. Only thing to nitpick about was she struggled serving at Iowa State but was better at the UNI tourney & also at the tournament Iowa hosted. |

I wanna hear some info on the Libero Joy Galles from anyone attending. She’s a great player that never got enough love at Arizona. She will be big for the Hawkeyes. I went to 3 of their spring tournaments & she clearly will upgrade their serve receive & defense. Only thing to nitpick about was she struggled serving at Iowa State but was better at the UNI tourney & also at the tournament Iowa hosted. her serve has always plagued her a bit. very mental. if Iowa has a good server somewhere on the bench and y’all aren’t using up too many subs elsewhere, they should look into serve subbing her |

Sounds like we found a gem in Joy. she’ll definitely be an upgrade in ball control for y’all! she passed next to some terrible passers last season and still held up. I’ve heard Malu is holding up in serve receive pretty well too, so hopefully she plays in like a 6ro passing opposite role and Joy has another passer to lean on. Joy is super high on Claire like all of y’all are too btw |
