Texas A & M was a great win, team is showing more consistency and looking better and better. yes was definitely an impressive win! the biggest inconsistency at this point in the season is the setting. Ortega brings great leadership but man her sets have been really rough at times. I want TJ to start trying to bring in Bruntmeyer more often when Ortega is off to try and get her more experience as she’s been able to go on a lot of key runs this weekend which helped secure both wins Passing is much improved. I think they need to just stick with Kirkhoff as the only Libero as Hemmings has been inconsistent. Overall I’m impressed with this very young team, and man I hope Jurnee stays as I think they can be dangerous next year with more experienced underclassmen and a key transfer or 2.

LSU is very much in the NCAA Tournament picture now. Currently sitting at mid-40s in RPI, 1T25, 3T50 wins.
They have a very important match at Georgia today.

LSU is currently at 53 in RPI with a few weeks left in the season. they need to come as close to winning out as possible to have a shot at the tournament in my opinion. they could lose to Kentucky, but other than that there’s not much wiggle room. Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas & TAM are all big time matches and obviously can’t get upset by Alabama in the last game of the season. I hope Jurnee stays one more year, because I think next years squad could be special. Our Freshmen are living up to their hype, and can’t wait for Bri Watson to be healthy next season. Our middles are arguably one of the best MB duo in the SEC. Just need a dynamic & experienced RS & maybe one more talented DS to transfer in to complete next years squad.

Jurnee was in so much pain and it was quite uncomfortable to watch her tearing up but still having to be on the court. I think she will probably move on and enter the portal after this season. If they do, hopefully they will find someone who can produce a high volume of kills, less errors and more reliable with passing and serving.

Yes, it was very obvious last night Jurnee was in pain and very frustrated. I wonder the extent of the injury she is dealing with and if she'll sit the rest of the season if now all is lost for their tourney chances.

You gotta feel for Jurnee. Such a talent. I have to imagine she'll transfer after this season. There are some schools who would kill to have an all-around OH as talented as her for 2 years.
As a Texas fan, I wanted success for Tonya and was glad when she made the tournament in 2022. But when she went 11-17 last year with Dodson, Anwusi, Robinson, and Demps on the court, I started to have my doubts.

Wonder what happened with all that talent. They also has Paige Flickinger who had been great for LMU

I wonder if more NIL money will get Jurnee to stay. If I remember, someone previously mentioned that's how they got her to stay for this year.

I’m sure she will have plenty of offers playing elsewhere with more successful programs. Sadly, my LSU bunch has turned into the true definition of insanity. Same story…lot of talent, no real development with athletes which equals a .500 team or less year after year! Truly hope to see this program turn around!!

Same story…lot of talent, no real development with athletes which equals a .500 team or less year after year! Truly hope to see this program turn around!! [br the thing with this season though, there was truly only one upperclassman (Ortega) fully inserted into the lineup. for a team that is composed of 3 starting freshmen & 3 starting sophomores, they have overachieved compared to beginning of season expectations. also Bri Watson, who is a monster and was a top 50 recruit coming in, was out all year with injury, which would’ve been huge with the lack of depth on the RS, since Demps unfortunately never lived up to the hype when she transferred over. Froelich is a great kid, but she couldn’t compete at the high level SEC play in the second half of the season. The lack of RS really was the Achilles heel as they would be forced to feed it to Jurnee anytime it was out of system. I obviously would love for the core group of underclassmen to all stay because they are only going to get better with more experience together, and with a talented freshman setter coming in next year, they could do some damage.
