As Lauren Carlini said, Charlie is “as cool as a cucumber.” Growing up in Hermosa Beach, California, she had the luxury to develop her skills on the beaches of SoCal.

This past weekend, Charlie made some plays that screamed beach!! I love seeing outdoor translate into the indoor game— the creativity, the smart plays, and the variety of shots. Who are some other Big Ten players with a beach background?
