Passing. defense and serving can be used if passing is close. both are secondary skills. passing is more important slightly but digging is absolutely not a “secondary” skill for a libero defense is secondary to passing. |

Liberos ought to be assessed on passing, digging, serving and aesthetics (the last category is for Laney). Lola is working on FOY for aesthetics.  |

Yes I agree passing is more important but the gap isn’t at big as some make it out to be imo. Having a libero that is an insane defender that gets your team plenty of chances in transition to score is a big deal. Now obviously I’m not saying that I want that and a libero passing a 1.9 but like I’d prob take a lights out defender at a 2.15 then a mid defender who passes a 2.3 for example |

But that’s why there’s subjectivity to awards. Who is taking up the most court, who is stealing balls from their OHs, etc. |
