Updates from the off season. OSU and WSU join the WCC for at least the next two years. 5 announced incoming freshman, 7 graduated, 1 transfer out. OSU 2023 Season Stats Overall 11-19, PAC-12 6-14 (9th)
Oregon State made several improvements from 2022 and 2021. The 2023 Beavers relied heavily on Coach Behonick bringing in transfers to fill spots. They had some nice wins against T-25 teams. Looking forward to the first full season in the Behonick era now that she has had a full year to recruit. 2024 Roster Seniors

Two updates were made to the team roster (Liepa Lavickyte transfer and Aliyah McDonald transfer. Puts the team at 15, I would expect they will bring in 1 or 2 when I compare rosters from previous seasons. http://instagram.com/p/C17pttwvdhy

OR State looks like a pretty young squad heading into 2024. DanGarion, do you think it will be a learning year for the team with all the freshmen coming in?

OR State looks like a pretty young squad heading into 2024. DanGarion , do you think it will be a learning year for the team with all the freshmen coming in? Honestly for me this is a whole new ballgame as I'm fairly new to the sport (2 years) and not much experience with such a "young" team". I don't really have any special insight other than what I see on paper at this point. My assumption (based on watching the team a lot last year) our starters are White L Burns OP/S Rumel OH Based on how it worked out last year Schrader MB and Hester OH would play a lot based on their experience coming in as Grads but I mean anyone could say that. . According to some details I've learned Hester has some experience at both OH and OP. Outside of that it is going to be a LOT of learning with 6 freshman. Total of 10 players have left from last season... I would love to see Light play, she's such a nice kid when we see her after games and the injury she got in 2022 was right before we started attending games. The more I think and look this is going to be a huge learning year for the team. But it really looks like they still need two players at this point with some of the new transfers from the last month.

Just looked at the team roster and noticed some new changes, will update the original post once I digest what I see. (Update complete - Keira Herron has transferred to SDSU according to her Instagram profile.)

You stole this thread from me, but I'll let you have it this year lol Hah, I'm sorry. I was bored and didn't see it was started. Hoping I can make at least one spring game, but they are on Saturdays during the same time of year my kiddos VB league is. **crosses fingers**

I used the same thread a couple years in a row, ala the Ducks do, just because the Beavers don't have a lot of fans on here.
But anyway, it is likely I can make several of these games, so hoping to scout out how the newer formations look!

Spring game 4/20 vs PSU:
Beavs 8 players present:
16-25. Modified lineup with one MB. White libero. Light, Rumel, Hester OH-all around. Hester hid in serve receive. Schraeder MB. Burns setter. Coba serving sub for White.
Struggling with ball control and passing. Setting placement struggles too.
PSU played their experienced A lineup.
25-14. White libero. Light, Hester OH-all around. Hester hid in serve receive. Schraeder, Rumel MB. Burns setter. Diraz-OPP/Coba DS.
Better ball control. Rumel very effective at MB. Hester powerful in OPP.
PSU played some different players. Setting changes hurt them.
25-19. Same lineup as 2nd set. White libero. Light, Hester OH-all around. Hester hid in serve receive. Schraeder, Rumel MB. Burns setter. Diraz-OPP/Coba DS.
PSU returned to their A lineup, but with Coba in digging more balls, PSU struggled to stop our hitters.
15-9. White libero. Light, Hester OH-all around. Hester hid in serve receive. Schraeder, Rumel MB. Burns setter. Diraz-OPP/Coba DS.

Interested to see if there are any changes to the roster come May 1 only based on the WBB team. Which from my understanding has a lot to do with the conference change. This conference may be great for OSU vb tho.

Sounds like the only player on the current "roster" that was not playing was Yasemin Narlioglu.
