does the SEC do co-champions? or are there tiebreakers for a sole-champion SEC doesn’t break ties with champions I don’t think. The automatic bid goes to head 2 head and point score I believe

November 18 Weekly Awards
SEC Co-Offensive Players of the Week Florida’s Kennedy Martin Kentucky’s Brooklyn DeLeye (who apparently the SEC thinks is a senior smh)
SEC Defensive Player of the Week Ole Miss’ Cammy Niesen (39 digs in a single match, set an Ole Miss record)
SEC Co-Setters of the Week
Kentucky’s Emma Grome Texas A&M’s Maddie Waak
SEC Freshman of the Week South Carolina’s Victoria Harris (most digs in a single match by any freshman in program history in the rally-scoring era)

As we enter the home stretch, who are your picks for All SEC teams? How many make it? 18 or so correct? I'm most interested in Setter of the Year. It's got to be between Grome and Crownover. Crownover has the slight edge statistically, but with UK likely having the outright title, you'd think Grome would deserve it. POY will be between Deleye and Martin, with Martin having the edge. Libero of the year will probably be Sands again. From Kentucky, I think Deleye and Grome are obvious picks for All SEC. Beyond those two, I'm not sure who would be next to make the team. I'm sure the MB duo have great shots at the freshmen team. Not sure if you have to play a percentage of games to qualify throughout season, but I think Thigpen deserves freshmen accolades. Mizzou's potential picks would be Vernon, Iliff, Crownover and Sands. If there are three RSs on the team, I think Iliff makes it behind Martin and Lednecky. Florida should get more than one player on the all SEC team, just not sure who it should be.

The automatic bid goes to head 2 head and point score I believe The tie breaker is interesting if it comes to that. Kentucky is either going to win it outright, or there's a chance it's a four way tie between UK, FL, TX, and MO. Not sure how that would go down, given everyone wins out and Mizzou upsets Kentucky.

Based on the head to head stats I saw posted elsewhere, Texas would have the best H2H in a four way tie with a 2-1 record.

with Ole Miss falling to Mizzou last night and have only Alabama and Texas left, do we think they make the tournament?

That's not fair. If pin hitters can win POW for putting up big numbers against mediocre teams, Grome's numbers as a setter should certainly be enough for a POW award.

early All-SEC thoughts
POY: Kennedy Martin. full stop she’s run away with it whether or not UK wins the conference outright or not LOY: Maya Sands repeats, leader in DPS. if Martin wasn’t POY, McKissock could have a chance FOY: Taylor Parks’ conference stats look awful with the serving sub thing, but she might still get it. I think Aniya Madkin and Jaela Auguste are deserving though. maybe Madkin to not repeat Florida again?
which of these players will get cut for All-SEC team? this is exactly one too many: Hannah Hogue Kennedy Martin Jurnee Robinson Sophie Fischer Erykah Lovett Emma Grome Brooklyn DeLeye Maya Sands Mychael Vernon Jordan Iliff Marina Crownover Riley Whitesides Alexis Shelton Nina Cajic Caroline Kerr Madisen Skinner Marianna Singletary Logan Lednicky Ifenna Cos-Okpalla
my guess is one of the Mizzou girls because 4 is a lot, but how can you justify taking any of them out? probably between Crownover and Iliff. Fischer shouldn’t be as safe as she is with that tragic hitting percentage, but it’s Sophie lol. maybe Lovett? she’s been better than Sophie though lol. maybe Kerr gets snubbed?

Fisher had an okay season not like the last couple. Lovett was the better player on the floor but wouldn’t rank her as an all SEC player. Park for FOY. Gnome for SOY. MicKissock for LOY
