Obviously what's gonna happen is they're gonna give POY to Grome for winning the conference when picked 3rd, losing Rutherford, 3 middles, and Lamb being out for half the year, and everybody in here will rip their hair out and I will howl with laughter honestly I was dissuaded from even considering her a POY candidate because of UK fans themselves lol She has been... better... Lately. It's just very frustrating watching every other set be a foot too tight to the net. You'd think it'd be an easy fix but what do I know

I've never understood this sentiment lol

I don't think I've complained about her as much as others (I put the blame on Josephson more than anyone) but I admittedly would probably give POY to Deleye over Grome.

It really can’t even considerably be anyone other than Martin right?
She’s playing at a NPOY level..

Considering how many co-POWs there have been in the SEC, I would not be surprised to see Martin and Deleye get co-POY.

Still eye popping for an OH, but Martin is just on another level. These are their season stats. I don't see Deleye's SEC stats posted on the UK site.
| Martin | Deleye | Hitting Efficiency | .381 | .279 | Kills/set | 5.54 | 4.74 | Points/set | 6.25 | 5.39 | Digs/set | 1.62 | 1.65 | blocks/set | .59 | .33 | aces/set | .39 | .45 |

LOY: Maya Sands repeats, leader in DPS. if Martin wasn’t POY, McKissock could have a chance McKissock has 4.56 digs/set in SEC play. Sands has 4.67 McKissock has .27 aces/set compared to Sands .17 Not sure about passing scores, but McKissock has 8 RE in 246 attempts and Sands has 7 RE in 274 attempts. If Florida can clinch a share of the SEC title (with Sands' help), McKissock should definitely be in the convo for LOY. As of now, these 2 are the closest in stats among all the award candidates. I'd be a fan of co-LOYs.

I know the team didn't do as well (all new pin hitters) but she is a great libero and seems to get overlooked.
