Watching Shoji's interview on the Sandcast podcast. He confirms Dagostino is the #2 libero in the gym. Muagututia will replace Shoji if anything happens to him in Paris. He thinks DeFalco is the 2nd OPP option, so similar to what Ma'a thought.

What’s the depth chart at MB? Obviously don’t know 100% but just curious what others thoughts are after seeing the OG squad this week and some of the younger/newer players week 1.
I was very surprised by Averill overall. I (admittedly without any basis) assumed he would barely see the court. While he seemed slow to read at times, resulting in getting fewer favorable touches than I think he was capable of getting, I thought he had some really great contributions. Offensively, he’s very fast, always available, pulls the block and seems to make smart decisions. And of course he had that great blocking stat with 5 in a match. But it just got me thinking whether my assumption that he’s #4 on the OG squad depth chart is correct.
Where do we think they land for starters? Where do the newbies slot in after these 4?

Smith and Holt are 1/2 Jendryk 3 Averill 4 Averill was good in all phases against Serbia and ok offensively against Canada but really struggled closing blocks and was off the net in form in that match. He knocks our pins down too much for my liking...kinda serious here.

I have no idea where Averill lands in the depth chart. Maybe #4 because he's probably the weakest blocker of the four, but he does offer something different offensively. His arm speed is as fast as TJ's. He can also jump float or hybrid serve which is a nice change up. Last quad way too many jump serves that were mid. Maybe Averill starting depends on match ups.

I wasn’t sure whether that was normal in the men’s game (relatively new to watching at this level) or if he was risking injury more than others.

I don't think we will be at 100% for the 3rd leg of the VNL but strong enough roster to push in to the Finals imo.
Go USA!

Holt, Anderson, Jendryk, DeFalco, Smith, Ensing, both Micah’s, Muaguatutia, Dagostino, and Shoji can be added to the week 3 list. Aka everyone but Russell is there, seemingly. Tbh I really don’t know what Ewert looks like, but I feel like he is there.

Should've brought Champlin and his stache, I'm sure the Philippines gays would liked him more. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8N_SfGSr3G
