Its like a kangaroo court in here. No one knows anything yet most of you instantly throwing LB under the bus. Gauchos probably were talking a lot of trash. Beach probably talked a lot too. Knipe and their coach getting into it was pretty funny. Will be very interesting if the two teams meet again in the BWT.

Alright what did I miss in the LB UCSB match? I caught the end of the fifth set and the teams just about got into a fight after LB won. Some pretty embarrassing behavior from the LB side after the win as well, Siapanis running around the arena waving his jersey around. No handshakes. Very classless stuff from Long Beach. Would love to see better from a program that talks so much about its culture. (Maybe Alan wouldn’t have to yell so much if he had a better setter running the show) Would also love to know what exactly was said Their culture in the last few years has been just to be loud a-holes on the court. When they’re wining it’s directed at the other team. When they’re losing it’s directed at each other. Very sad and far cry from the DeFalco years. At least during the 2018-2019 years, they would show sportsmanship at the end of the games.

To be fair.....UCSB has had a lot of recent history of talking lots of s*** on the court with nothing to back it up. And McLaughlin just let's it go.

Bouchkov, Siapanis, and (gasp!) ALAN Knipe... shameful. Love that Varga came back to shake hands with the refs. UCSB started it. Always running their mouths, it was bound to come back to bite them in the ass. Doesn’t really matter who started it. If you’re the #2 (probably soon to be #1) team in the country and you just beat the #19…act like you’ve been there before and don’t run around the arena waving your jersey over your head.

It's gone too far if a physical fight is about to happen.

Back to volleyball...
One positive coming from the Aidan situation is how the LBSU pins have been forced to find creative ways to better the ball. Godbold with the two-hander to the back right corner off a too low pipe set, Siapanis roll shot after Aidan's moonball OOS set, Varga (most impressive) just finding a way to score. Maybe not Henno-level yet, but impressive. Thank you, Aidan!

Exactly my point... but I don't think it's luck. They practice it, plus they've just adapted to their setter.

They practice it, plus they've just adapted to their setter. Those LBSU hitters sure are crafty and like you said, I suspect it's because they've had to deal with subpar setting. To his credit, I think Aidan has improved the most this past off season in preparation for his senior campaign. I also like how much of a workhorse he is.
