Not the oinkers coming in and finding one player to pick on lol same old same old.
This was a team loss. Including the coaching staff. Not much time to gel with this new group but hopefully things get consistent sooner than later. It could’ve been a ways different story had there just been better adjustments on Hawaiis side (Targeting Hobus more, setting Todd more, passing consistently, running Voss from off the net, etc). Hoping it all gets figured out.

Not a good loss but that's why they play the game!
Go Bows!

Right now I would take the LBSU Setter over Tread. Not really impressed one bit with Tread. All the write up on this kid, I am starting to think it was all B.S. WOW, is that really fair for a 17 year-old Freshman? The kid has been playing well. never trust a "hawaii fan" who calls Rado "Radoslav"

It's not a good start to conference, but as Coach Wade said right now, it's improving and finding that mesh of players moving forward and being better come tournament time. That aside, Wade needs to do a better job at calling time outs. For me, I never understood why a coach calls time out when the opposing team reaches 24 and you have 20 or 21. I know it's icing the server, but it also puts pressure on your team to make that one big play or set is done. At least at 23, there's less pressure of one miscue and pau. Just my thoughts on that. But Hawaii was up at 11-10 (or something) and CSUN goes on a 4 pt run and no timeout?? All the momentum now on CSUN and Hawaii never found its footing after that. Mesh of players? I mean they are only 1 player deep at the outside.. EVERY OTHER POSITION is set lol .. Hawaiis bench is pretty short and weak this year!! It really is trying to mesh the players even if it's the replacement of one key figure out there. Why? Because Spyros did so much both on the court and off that with him not out there they look a hot mess at times. That's how impactful he was and everything he did for them. Now with that said....it's on this team and coaches to buck tf up and mesh and charge forward regardless of whom is on the floor. I think they still will be able to do it. It may not look pretty at times and we may even deal with another bad loss or two....but when post season comes around...I think they can be a dangerous team.

Probably my biggest issue with him over the many years is his inability to call much needed timeouts at the wrong time. I get trying to have your team fight through it. But when the other team catches up and surpasses your team and then only then you call a timeout. Too late. The opposing team is already with the momentum and energy on its side.

Not trying to rile up you Hawaii fans, But the bows are maybe a top 10 team without chakas. So tough for a team that had it all and to lose such a good player like chakas. Truly upsetting. It really is upsetting. But again, this UH team needs to buck tf up and tbh our remaining seniors need to get out there and LEAD! And rn it's not happening. Smh Sypros was their everything and it's blatantly obvious how much he meant to them and how big of a cog he was in the Hawaii machine. He is not there and they just look friggen lost at times. Depressing to see but they gotta learn from this and continue to grow or it's lights out for them. But I have to believe they will get it together come post season time.

The Top 2 teams in the BWC right now are LBSU and UCI. Hawaii needs to hope they can at least split with UCSB next week. Otherwise, they could go into the BWC Tournament with 7 conference losses. Not counting on Hawaii beating UCI. Also, Charlie Wade needs to think seriously about changing Setters. Tread is not ready to be a Setter at the D! Level. Tread setting has a lot to be desired. He is all over the place with his Setting location, and who to Set. Kauling looked awful when he came in during the 2nd.

Didn't he come in late into the set?

More reason why he should've played in some of the blowout matches, to give him experience with the A squad if/when it's ever needed.

Just like I had issue with Eleu playing all the matches including the blowout ones with no back up to get some in game reps. So we are stuck with Eleu even when he doesn't do as well. I mean yes they use Kai as a SS sometimes....but who else we got if Eleu is stinking it up out there? They only play Eleu.

Kauling looked awful when he came in during the 2nd. More reason why he should've played in some of the blowout matches, to give him experience with the A squad if/when it's ever needed. Exactly, he looked tight and unconfident out there and that comes from a lack of gameplay experience with the starters. It was a mess but one brought on by Wade and staff. Which is why I think more and more he doesn’t mind a mess of a season because he’s no longer building towards anything with Spyros out. Everyone but Tread and the other newbies have at least one ring already so at this point guess he’s just working towards stringing together the next ones in a row

Watching the last 2 weekends, he really doesn’t know how to coach when things aren’t going his way
