Y'all care way too much about people's personal lives lol. It’s only ironic because 15 years ago Nebraska fans were pretending like infidelity on a coaching staff was a crime against humanity. Hey, I remember when Nebraska fans wanted to press war crime charges because Stanford drew a picture of Herbie Husker on their whiteboard.

I never understand people who try and make the issue bigger by saying things like this. Like what possesses one to have a knee jerk reaction to pour salt on the wound? Like on its face, what purpose does this statement serve? Maybe to impress on the fact that DUIs kill tens of thousands of people a year?
They need to stop, and part of that is not letting anyone off the hook, regardless of who they are.
When the public see people in power get away or get a slap on the wrist for something so severe, they begin to feel emboldened to act similarly. You need to impress upon folks that this is unacceptable, and if Harper can get a DUI and see severe, life changing consequences, so could they.
It's a disservice to literally everyone to give her a lighter punishment than they would anyone else, and shame on anyone who advocates for that or tries to downplay the severity of what Harper did.
No one is being let off the hook I’m sorry but it just kinda comes off as annoying statement to me in this instance because you’re not actually talking to Harper Murray, just Volleytalk…

Absolutely no part of me feels bad especially adding in the 2024 Audi…. No need to beat a dead horse but I’m hoping the accountability tour goes hard

Where was Jaylen when this happened? Inquiring minds want to know. He was out buying a new pair of skinny jeans.

Is it the 5 charges or the 6 pages on VT in less than 12 hours that makes you think this is being swept under the rug?

I don’t think this should be swept under the rug, but DUIs, especially first time offenses, are typically not harshly punished. I suspect she gets put on probation, but she’s not going to prison for this. In MN, a first time DUI offense gets you put on unsupervised probation with a 500 dollar fine. I’m not sure how it works in NE though. But i genuinely don’t think she will get any less of a punishment than any other person who gets a first time DUI. My point is, no one should be surprised if it seems like she gets a slap on the wrist… it’s the reality of the justice system. And before my credibility gets attacked, I’ve worked in the courts for 9 years and have seen thousands of DUIs play out.

None. She will more than likely take a plea deal and plead guilty to the DUI. I wouldn’t be surprised if the others got dismissed at the time of sentencing.

Harper is an adult. She’s going to face a harsh reality. We make choices, big and small, every day of our lives, and those choices have consequences.
There’s never an excuse for drinking and driving. Why didn’t she call an Uber or arrange for a ride?
Personally, I cannot believe that she was cited and then released?? Why wasn’t she booked for obstructing peace officers?

Obstructing a police officer can mean anything— including presenting a fake ID to the officer. We weren’t there, maybe body cam footage will be released to satisfy the curious. The idea this is or will be swept under the rug is laughable.

Volleyball rumor mill amongst players says she flipped off the police officer, hence the disturbing the peace officer charge…

This whole idea of anything being swept under the rug is silly. It's not like her name is Lawrence Phillips or anything.
