Looks like that “anonymous” post is being blasted all over the internet and being tagged to all the major media outlets. Let’s hope something can be done.

I expect a lot of athletes transferring out if they don’t fix this. All UH programs will be affected.

Craig Angelos was fully on board with explanding scholarship money and sponsorships for the Warrior program so this is a blow because we don’t know what the next Ahletic Director will be like and the interim lady is never around or is always couped up in her office but she always shows up at any photo op. She doesn’t deserve the job but her friends in the athletic department will be lobbying for her like Laura Beeman and Bob Coolen. Some of them are a bunch of lazy azzes like some of the other administrators and they no like being told what to do. Fire their azz! The union always backing these lazy fakaz. No wonder Hawaii is the way it is. It has been mind boggling how inept Hawaii truly is since moving to the mainland where the simple things actually work efficiently! I always knew Hawaii was azz backwards...it's even more clearer since moving away!

Good for Kawazoe. Probably the only thing they’ll listen to is money, or lack of it. Makes me want to support the Malia hotel even more.

The firing makes no sense unless there was something behind the scenes that they don't want released. The explanation provided (wanting to replace him with Manin) seems plausible albeit overly complicated.
It is hard to imagine what could be a justifiable reason for the termination. Hopefully they do release the reason at some point, because it makes the Administration look pretty incompetent otherwise.
They hire him 18 months ago. Angelos makes some great changes moving UH to the MWC with no subsidies, has the support of the coaches, players and fans and UH then they let him go. They owe it to the taxpayers to justify themselves.
Dumb question (maybe), but could the new President just hire him back?

got news on what Charlie is thinking now?

This is the part that makes the least sense. The football coach (Chang) and arguably the most successful coach currently at UH (Wade) both back the AD. You would think that would be a pretty big thing. In most programs that would be job security. For the outgoing President to make a decision like this... something just doesn't add up.

I hope that Lassner come to his senses after this huge NIL setback and keeps Angelos. He’s done a great job so far.

i’ve heard totally different stories about angelos from people who work within the athletics department. stories that don’t play him out as the savior you all are describing. there’s always 3 sides to a story and i feel we will never get the whole truth about this situation.
