Congrats to Hawaii commit Roman Payne for making the U19 final roster. Hope he kick azz and put on a good show. Really jacked he chose to be a warrior. He has the tools to be very good. Tall, agile and can hammer the rock. BTW…he is listed at 6-10…same height as former UH target Grant Lamoreaux but looking at the team photo, he is obviously taller than Grant. Roman be our first 7fter in volleyball? 🤙🙏🤩 usavolleyball.org/story/twelve-selected-for-2024-boys-u19-norceca-continental-championship/well, here comes the Payne

Louis and Roman are going to put some major dents on the floor. Both can pound the rock real hard.

Why do I keep hearing that song played in the arena on every other team's MVB broadcast? Did they all go to the same DJ school? LOL

Can't believe I am going to say this, but thank god for Punahou.
This is me calling out OC16 and Spectrum for truly failing Hawaii Boys Volleyball by not showing ANY of the State Tournament until the Championship. There is talk about growing the sport of volleyball, but still OC16 fails to show some of the boys tournament or ANY of the regular season matches on television. I know that the skill level for the boys side of things are not the best, but you can at least guess which school will have some skills that could be shown on TV. OC16 only shows the OIA championships between Moanalua vs Mililani and Wailua vs Kailua.
Thank god that Punahou has Punavision to stream the matches that are held at their gyms. How is the semi-finals of the state tournament not shown on television. It would be shown if it was football, girls volleyball, boys basketball, girls basketball, girls soccer, boys soccer, girls softball, boys baseball would all be shown on TV during their regular season and their respective tournaments. Next week is softball and baseball state tournaments and baseball is being shown from quarterfinals on while softball is getting shown from their semi-finals on.
OC16 needs to do better because why isn't any of the boys volleyball games being shown on tv? Here is a link to Punavision to watch the semifinal matches of Moanalua vs Kamehameha at 5 pm and Mililani vs Punahou at 7 pm.

I'm pretty sure he only spent his senior year of high school in Hawaii? Maybe to establish residency?

I'm pretty sure he only spent his senior year of high school in Hawaii? Maybe to establish residency? Yewchuk attended Damien his Jr year in HS so he didn’t come to Hawaii just for that one year like Kai and Justin. Here is his bio. It’s his bio so it’s not written by some student writer. 11th grade at Damien and 12th at Moanalua. zackyewchuk.com/
