First editions of the annual Regional Guides are available. Regional Guides are made for brackets with Region VIII and/or Region IX programs. This year that means Emory, Hope, Marietta and Whitewater. Please share them if you find the Regional Guides useful. If anything they are a way to pass the time until Thursday.

LaVerne and Whitworth playing the 11:30 am match is unfortunate. 8:30am on their body clock is a tough assignment after flying across the country - the flip side of Oshkosh having to play at 11pm last year.
For the 11:30 am games, I like Berry for the upset over Whitworth, partly due to distance, partly due to the time change. The other lower seeds I'd pick today would be Springfield, Illinois Wesleyan, and Stevens Point. I'll keep an eye on Carnegie Mellon over Cortland - I think that one is interesting.
What matches are you excited for today? What upsets are you looking for?

What matches are you excited for today? What upsets are you looking for? Va Wes/Springfield is a pick 'em for me, but I'll go VWU in 5 with the best player on the floor being their OH, Hannah Smith. F&M got a rough draw with Ill Wes as a 6 seed, I agree with you and don't think it will be particularly close. I like Middlebury over Salisbury, two teams that finished the season trending in opposite directions. I don't think CMU can match Cortland's physicality, give me Cortland in 4 tight ones. Transy/CMS is intriguing and will be a battle that feels like a second or third-round matchup from years past. Deep cut is Gallaudet over Stevens -- if I was betting I wouldn't put a lot of money on it, but Gallaudet is legit and has one of the best OH's in the tournament, Stevens looked vulnerable getting pushed to the brink in their championship match...Stevens better be sharp. They lost to a one-woman dominant OH show in Leb Valley earlier this year.

Things are getting interesting in Atlanta:
CMS won set 1 25-11 over Transylvania, but lost set 2 25-27 and set 3 26-28.
Tranys up 2-1 going into the 4th.

UWSP is up 2-1 over Otterbein, after Otterbein seemingly forgot to put their OH2 on the roster. UWSP contested the substitution and that player is disqualified.

I knew Greenville was never going to be able to win but was hoping they’d play hope just a bit tougher. They aren’t a bad team but when you don’t play teams this level of physicality all year besides a few matches it’s hard to compete. I think they are a better team than these scores show R.I.P.

Today I feel like Berry (vs Trinity) and Dubuque (vs Millikin) are probably out of their depth. Congrats on making it here, now go home. Not sure the same cannot be said for Carnegie Mellon vs Hopkins, though they certainly play tough teams all of the time so that feeling may have more to do with Hopkins.
We have some repeats - Chicago was swept by Oshkosh on a neutral court last month so not expecting much there. Emory beat CMS 3-1 in September but I'm curious to see if this one could be a bit tougher. NYU managed just 53 points in 3 sets vs MIT at home, so playing at MIT should be favorable for the engineers.
Colby vs La Verne is an interesting one to me. I don't feel like Mya Ray is the type of player Colby sees a lot, but La Verne has certainly lost to lesser teams than Colby. Ithaca vs Smith should be competitive but I feel like the fact that Ithaca has been here before should be worth something. Similarly, I'm not sure ETBU isn't the better team, but CNU has experience, and the home court.
Games start in a few minutes!
