Pepperdine took the first set before losing 1-3 to USC in their re-match
Oregon State is down 1-2 to Grand Canyon. Tight 4th set...until GCU up 22-14 and headed for a 3-1 win.
Santa Clara and Notre Dame look headed to a 5th set - Maybe. SCU up 23-18 in the fourth, but ND answering with 4 straight points.
Welp. Notre Dame was down by 6 points late in the 4th set and came back to win it 27-25 and the match 3-1.

San Diego destroyed Hawaii 25-11 in the first set, and then Hawaii woke up and took the match 3-1.
USD freshman Osunsamni is such a great get for them...she had 14 kills hitting .464. Haylee Stoner had 6 kills at .364 but was only set 11 times in the match. Madi Allen did well at libero. Kristen Erland led everyone with 7 blocks. USD is running a 6-2 this year with Evans and Munday. I think they can get a lot better than their 0-2 start shows. (*For a team that has historically lived and died with their excellent middles, the 2 middles had only 21 out of the 119 attempts tonight...I only watch half of the match. It may reflect their serve receive.)

It may reflect their serve receive.) The problem is no other pin hitter is that great tbh. I think Nemo was supposed to be a starter, but she may not be 100% I heard. The other two OH's struggle to be efficient. |
