Is anyone interested in a match thread for Boston College vs. Duke on Friday? What teams would ppl like to see match threads for? exit assigns match threads when both teams are in the top 25 (or usually if they're receiving votes) in the AVCA poll so those are covered. I usually make match threads for Cal and Stanford and eazy makes them for Louisville. I would be interested. Don't know how many Duke games I'll watch live this season but BC & Duke are an interesting matchup with both teams trying to figure out who they are without their departed seniors. In regards to other ACC games this week, I think SMU vs Clemson. Clemson looks to be getting better every year and Mia McGarth has really stepped up her game this season. If her + freshman Neea Maria Joki play well, I think they can give SMU problems.

It would be fairly easy to make since I already have Pitt and Clemson threads this week but it's at 7 PM on Friday so there will be a lot of other matches at that time, including SMU @ Georgia Tech, Stanford @ Notre Dame, and Cal @ Louisville (all of which have their own match threads).

as a Pitt fan I can’t imagine that thread would get any action unless Clemson is looking to upset but that would be talked about in the upset thread. I don’t think it’s worth your time personally |

Pitt reverse swept GT at home last year. Pitt swept GT in Atlanta last year. Pitt has also never lost a match against GT in Atlanta. The one good thing about Pitt and SMU being travel partner's is there is like 5-6 direct flights to and from Pittsburgh and Dallas each day between to DFW and Love Field. So if you are flying commercial, it's not bad. Very true but each of the last two years in one of their two matches against each other it took Pitt 5 sets to win. So while your statements are true mine were as well. Not disputing Pitt as the top team in the country this year. Just pointing out that Tech may not be as easy to sweep as the rest of their schedule this year. Pitt has played some very good teams but Tech has veteran leadership that can cause them some difficulty. |

I probably am giving UNC too much credit. How consistent are they going to be? Michigan doesn't look bad this year, so that's a solid win. It also wouldn't surprise me if they started 8-0 in conference play. |

Since there’s not a match thread I guess I’ll post it here. Georgia Tech's Emiliano went down nasty on her ankle (right iirc). She’s been subbed out and limped off the court but thankfully didn’t have to be carried. Hopefully she’s alright and recovers quickly!
