I'm not sure why the athletes are voting. It will pretty much always go to whoever is the most famous outside the Olympics.

Underwhelming it’s a genuinely horrible selection but I guess the athletes voted or something so… yes. team members (or maybe the athletes themselves) send in nomination videos and Team USA votes. im blaming karch (LOL) for either 1) a terrible larson video 2) not sending one in lol i would probably venture to guess with Simone ineligible and Ledecky being saved for either the closing or LA... Coco is the only female athlete most of them knew (pain) |

I keep getting ratio’d in Instagram comments by people saying Ledecky has already done it and I’ve asked every single person that’s commented that asking when she’s done it and not a single one has replied LMAO. I don’t know why I even entertain the idiots on Instagram😭
