How about a slightly different answer, who is most likely to win Big Ten POY. Liberos and setters pretty much never get Big Ten POY, so Roddy and Reilly are out of this list. 1. Franklin 2. Murray/Landfair (a Nebraska OH needs to be on here, but which one?) 3. Hudson 4. Wucherer 5. Colyer I see Murray sitting behind Krause and Landfair, so one of the latter two. Wurcherer needs to take a huge leap to get past Merb (or Chicoine or Smrek for that matter).

1. Franklin 2. Roddy 3. Reilly 4. Haworth 5. Mzurik/Hudson. PSA: Lexi Rodriguez has said in interviews she doesn’t like being called Roddy. Unfortunately, neither you nor Larry Putney received that message. Gurl….. lmao.

Only way Murray is losing her spot is if she’s suspended.
They’ll need her passing

I think PoY is most likely to come from Nebraska or Wisconsin. Hudson, Wucherer, and Colyer type players who will likely lead their teams will need GREAT stats and a team finish higher than expected to have a chance. Or expected conference standings finish and insane stats. It’s not that those players are better than Smrek. While Smrek is very good, I think a lot more offense would have to run through her for her to be in consideration with Franklin. Edit to add: I do not foresee Krause benching Murray. Maybe she starts over Landfair. I think that’s the OH spot with the competition for playing time.

Krause has never played 6-ro in her 3 year career, while Murray is an all american Murray is better than Krause in the back row, but both are pretty awesome overall. I think with Murray having those off-court problems and being a Sophomore and Krause coming off injury, being from Nebraska, and entering her last year, it will be Krause’s to lose. I could see a situation where those two and Landfair “share”, each getting around 800 attempts.

Yes they were. Krause’s offensive numbers are a little better though.

If anyone wins it from Nebraska’s pins it will be Beason without a doubt but even then as long as Franklin isn’t injured for most of the season or somehow flops, she has that spot locked in. For Big POY it’s basically: Franklin GAP Beason Mruzik/Hudson 😭

Honestly all the OH's with the exception of Franklin and Murray should be cancelled from top 5 due to passing. I put Hudson on my list because of not wanting to put 4 Nebraska players but in reality if I was building a team from B1G players I would choose Franklin and Murray at OH because the passing is that important. Look how much lack of passing cost that NORCECA team. Hudson, Mruzik, Terry, Wuch, Londot, and Landfair all are not good enough passers to hold up at a high level right now.

Hudson has and will hold up well in the NCAA in passing. She had one mediocre passing match against an Olympic qualified team with a team of rookies where she was the youngest outside on the roster. people were critical of her offense, which was fair. She is a year and two years behind other OH playing. Hudson doesn’t deserve to have her passing described in the same breath as those others.
