KPI is also now a metric, and it's not even up yet. RPI was picked up and discarded by waste disposal services this summer. faktorsports.com/

Is this the first season that it'll be a metric now? Or was that last season? It was a selection metric last season, and the site has KPI going back to the 2018 season. The intent when introduced was to replace RPI, but as of last season both were being used for selection criteria.

UCSB getting reverse swept and losing at San Diego was a big blow to their NCAA At-large chances.

lol, it only took 2 weeks for Hawaii to establish itself as favorite again. masseyratings.com/cvol2024/10695still need that 3rd week to really sart to get enough data for a semblance of things of how teams are really looking. overall at close to 0.500 with Bake, Irvine, SD getting wins at least Hawaii has 3 top 75 wins, plus Robyn always solves their passing/floor defense issues every year. UCSB has 2 top 75 wins, and really let a top100 win slide away losing to San Diego. But overall SB has played a tough schedule all on the road. 2 wins was actually pretty good considering they had to re-load Davis has the nice K-State win Beach has a high ranking, but mainly on SOS, next week will be telling with a couple top 25/75 ish opponents. Passing is a big issue Poly, really the dissapointment, losing Markovska in their 3 bigest non-conf matches is huge loss, plus they haven't solved Passing problems from last year either UCSD hasn't played anybody yet to know any more than they are at least a mid, maybe upper? Big West team. Irvine pretty much similar, need a top 75 ish opponent Bake a nice surprise, at least winning. Northridge at least won a couple Full & Riverside. ouch

biased but I would make Zayna Meyer setter of the week
she ran 32.5 miles chasing down all the bad passes this week, over 9 sets
edging out Bullis of Poly who ran 29.7 miles chasing down all the bad passes over 9 sets, 18.6 of those miles from Stockham's passes
both are now being recruted to be on the respective cross-country teams in the spring for Beach and Poly

Pepperdine will be a force within the WCC this year.

That's worth an award, right?

I don't get Bullis, she's a good setter, but going 0-6 vs the ranked opponents? and I know they can't pass well to her, but yikes!
the weekly awards are mostly for publicity anyway, so congrats
as a coach, I just would not be too keen on nominating, except for maybe a frosh award or something extraordinary, regular players when i get swept twice.
