Why does everyone keep sayin Otineru will be on the team next year? Everyone speaks as if she's commited, but there are no official announcements or even rumors that she'll be a Wahine next year. I mean, the Wahine already have 12 scholarship players. if cubi-otineru does come to u h - she would more than likely walk-on and be okay with it -- i say this since she wants to play for u h regardless of scholarship or not -- it is not like her and her family cannot afford the tuition at u h -- i mean she did attend punahou schools for a good long while and their tuition isnt exactly cheap

U$C doesn't get the dollar sign in its acronym for nothing... if she walks on there, I'd be interested to see if there is a "financial package." So, when Aneli went to CSI, did that release the LOI she signed at Hawaii?

keefe has the heart and i admire her for that -- she came to u h with a fresh injury so it was expected that it would take time for herself to be healthy to play and that redshirt year helped her a lot -- it seems when she got healthy - she started to adjust but was probably a bit wary about injurying herself again so she probably was a bit more cautious her first year in playing thus her not being in the starting line up -- then the following season - she was playing better and was getting better until she injured herself again -- she reminds me a lot like eckmiers situation -- lots of heart and desire but knows they couldnt do much due to their injuries - and with good reasons too -- arnott on the other hand seemed to have lost the desire to play and this was due to no injuries too -- thats my take on everything -- yup

I think that you're absolutely wrong to not include Alicia in that group and I think that your "take" is wildly misaligned. Things are not always what they seem.

Jessica is not overrated, she's a great player with a knee problem that's all, Kaufman seems to fit better at the RS and she's a much better blocker than Jessica....But Jessica will only get better when her knee is ready to let her play.....

From what I've heard, Aneli is trying to walkon at USC just to play with her fellow team mates Anna and Martina.... Although I'd really like to see Otineru come to Hawaii, I would enjoy watching her play for USC. I think it was the FSN cable channel that showed about three USC games last season. They're pretty stacked at the OH position, but I think she could really compete for some play time.

I thought there was a recent article about Otineru where she literally said playing for the Wahine would be a dream for her. And that she looks forward to it. Did I imagine reading that article?

We have 3 returning OHs (including OPP) with Copenhagen, Kaczor, and Gysin. And we add on Roleder. Urango might go to libero. Last season, our OHs struggled mightily. This season, in theory we should be better w/ the added depth. Then in 2008, there will be major vacancies at OH. So if Otineru went to SC, I wouldn't consider it stacking.
