Maybe she just wanted to get ready for club nationals or she may have wanted to workout over the summer with her new Texas team... ? Gysin never opted to play on any of those teams, reportedly because she wanted the time away from the game. It happens. Barboza did the reverse and didn't play club, only playing for USA Volleyball her senior year.

A change to the original roster (Julianne Faucette's name has been withdrawn):
(updated May 17, 2007) - USA Volleyball has announced the 24-player roster for the 2007 U.S. Women’s Junior National Training Team, which will train May 18-20 in Austin, Texas. Within a week after the training session, the roster will be cut in half to 12 players who will represent the U.S. at the FIVB U-20 World Championships held July 19-27 in Nakhonratchasima, Thailand. Based on the original release distributed May 16, the roster has added Elle Ohlander (Caledonia, Ill.) as a replacement player on the 24-player squad.
Interesting to note that they have replaced an OH with a MB. MB Elle Ohlander from IHSA Class AA runner-up Hononegah HS. Ohlander, a junior, has already commited to Wisconsin. File photo
