Heather Bown - She struck fear in her opponents like no other Lily Kahumoku - She was very intense and quite looney Hedder Illustre - no DS comes close True about Heather Bown, don't know what to say about the comment on Lily Kahumoku Hafta disagree with you on Hedder Illustre. I don't know if you've ever seen Stephanie Shota and Nalani Yama%*$#a back in the days. They were the best ds in my opinion.

Nalani Yama%*$#a hands down the best DS from the Wahine...Stephanie Shota was another great one...
I also liked Melissa Villaroman a lot...I thought she was a good one and Hedder Ilustre was also real decent...and Ashley Watanabe improved a whole lot through her UH career...
I think Jamie Lee and Liz Ka`aihue has the definite potential to be right up their among the all time UH greats.

Two years ago I was playing black jack at Fremont casino dowtown vegas. After two hours I started to wonder outloud "I wonder how the Wahine's doing?" They were on the road. The gentleman next to me said "my daughter played for Hawaii." Really? "What's her name?" "Melissa Villaroman." So that's how I met her dad. I also talked to Hedder and Heidi a couple of times in church. They are much prettier in person than on TV. And also Kanoe. This was before Houston arrived at UH. I told her "the team gonna get a fabulous OT next year, huh?" (in reference to Houston) She said "really?" It seemed she didn't know too much about it.

I have a Melissa Villaroman/Hedder Ilustre/Ashley Watanabe/Kelly Ong shrine.
Melissa was awesome. Hedder was the hottest, and Ashley is as cute as a bunny, along with Kelly Ong and Jayme Lee.

Ong and Blood Fan -- you can't name every single Wahine and claim them as your favorite. It dilutes the meaning of "favorite". And that's not good for society.

Paet made tough plays look so effortless in the back row, and Golden was just so steady.

Celia Goods, Therese Crawford, Kenyata Lovelace, Kim Willoughby, Heather Bown, and Lily Kahumoku. I know I know majority of them are African American women (and don't make it a race issue) but I love seeing the diversity out there! I'm excited to see Kanani join them next year! Local girls, caucasians, and african american girls playing for Hawaii! Can't wait for next season!!!
