How many pages will this thread reach before the match starts?

I would guess seventeen. It could rival the Hawaii-Wisconsin one from 2004 in the end if the match were to go five and end in a Hawaii victory. With the way Nebraska has been beating people at home, I don't expect that, but it should be interesting. I wish CSTV was picking it up. At any rate, it should help Hawaii when it comes NCAA time, no matter the result.

Very objective points as usual there Bucky. People sometimes forget that matches like this still accomplish things if the lower ranked team does actually lose as most non-Wahine fans expect will happen. Hawaii will fight hard to win the match, however, if they do lose they still learn more about where they stand in they potential chances to win the tournament and learn more about where they may need to make improvements. PLus, even if they were to lose they might expose some weaknesses in the Husker team that they'll need to work on as well before the tournament starts. Good luck to both teams in staying healthy and playing the match.

I'm personally a little nervous for this match. Hawaii is a good team that can play with no pressure, nothing to lose. They have good back row defense and a terminator in Houston. Shoji was quoted in a Hawaiian newspaper as saying that he thinks they can find the floor against us and has confindence in their defense. I don't know, it's just a perfect setup for an upset, which is why I'm nervous.

You're the first to admit it. As I have stated many times, that's the nature of the beast. ;D It's very exciting for us because of the possibility of winning. I am just hoping for a close game.

The Wahine really have nothing to lose from this match. They are going in as an overwhelming underdog and not many people expect Hawai'i to win (except for myself and some others).
Hawai'i has come a long way since their early season troubles and I think this is a great opportunity for them. While there is no doubt that Nebraska is the top team in the country at this point, I think Hawai'i will play very well. I'm excited.....
GO BOWS!

Aaron and naistric, I see where each of them is coming from. Both of them are true fans of the Wahine with different styles. One is rambunctious the other is guarded. expressive/depressive.
I am the third type- Who cares!
Now comes BiK, the 4th type- high on drugs. ;D

For the benefit of all the VT members, Nebraska needs to win. If Hawaii (by some weird fluke) would win, VT members would NEVER hear the end of it from the Hawaii fans. But when Nebraska wins, Husker fans will just drop it and it will be just another game ... YEAH RIIIIIGHT!!!

I think it's actually BiK on the right. Wolfgang's lifestyle has aged him dramatically before his time and the beer is finally having it's way with BiK.

If nothing else, this match is boiling up a lot of interest which can be nothing but good for womens collegiate volleyball.

This is what DS thinks too. www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071021/SPORTS0203/710210385/1032&template=UHsports"There is very little to lose here and a lot to gain. ... I want to learn how good a team we can become. We haven't been in this situation since the preseason and we didn't handle it very well early. I think we will respond better now. ... The goal is to be as good as we can in December."
