I've been watching the replays and I like the way Miyashiro performed. I may even be inclined to say she looked better than Davis. Yup, not bad at all. Reception stats per USAV Name | Total | Err | ERR% | POS% | EXC%
| Barboza | 22 | 2 | 9.1% | 50.2% | 36.4% | Davis | 201 | 13 | 6.5% | 54.3% | 30.4% | Hodge | 292 | 24 | 8.2% | 42.7% | 23.6% | Larson | 100 | 10 | 10.0% | 63.9% | 35.9% | Miyashiro | 24 | 0 | 0.0% | 70.8% | 33.3% | Richards | 88 | 8 | 9.1% | 49.9% | 32.9% | Tom | 92 | 4 | 4.3% | 77.1% | 41.5% | Team Total | 819 | 61 | 7.4% | 53.8% | 30.4% |
FIVB stats Name | Excellents | Faults | Total | Eff. %
| Tom | 44 | 0 | 92 | 47.83% | Miyashiro | 12 | 0 | 27 | 44.44% | Barboza | 12 | 2 | 23 | 43.48% | Larson | 49 | 7 | 100 | 42.00% | Davis | 89 | 10 | 201 | 39.30% | Richards | 26 | 3 | 86 | 26.74% | Hodge | 95 | 21 | 293 | 25.26% | Team Total | 327 | 43 | 822 | 34.55% |
Thank you. I see Tom still sets the bar for reception but Miyashiro did well. That's a positive for USA.

You do wonder if Hugh might experiment with the two liberi: Tama receiving serve and Davis playing defense

Future libero for Team USA Future libero for Team USA is Natalie Hagglund but why are you bringing her up now? She's not making this team. We don't need future anything, this team has to be about NOW.

I'm one of the posters who brought up Miyashiro's name. I AM thinking that Miyashiro has a shot of making the Olympic team NOW.

Was sbilo saying we should take whoever will be the libero in the future? Its hard to read incomplete sentences.

Of course, depending on the injury to Davis the future could be now. As for Hagglund, we'll see. Hagglund started playing in the NCAA the year after Miyashiro stopped, so she's four years behind. If she follows the same sort of career trajectory she will probably be in the discussion in 2016.

She'll also have an easier time getting picked up by a foreign team because of her JNT/YNT experience and recognition (best libero at World Champs).

Hagglund's way ahead of her? I hope you mean way ahead of where Tama was at the same point in her college career. (Which is debatable.) Otherwise, well, don't stand anywhere near the fan.
