Tama is a lock.
Davis's serve receive is too painful on a regular basis.

Wasn't this due 69 minutes ago? Doesn't the USAV know I can't get on with my day until I know...

It is interesting the way that the FIVB rules lead to the conflict that you have to choose between using a player as a libero and as a serving specialist. In the NCAA, of course, that's not an issue.

USAV said they wouldn't write a media release until after the 4th. All I know is that the roster is due to the USOC today, and the athletes must be notified of the selections today.

This blogger is shameless in his bias towards the Washington girls.

Well, from Volley Talk posters who watched the match video, those who hadn't wouldn't have even known that HM had stuck with Thompson, rotating her to the front row, instead of re-inserting Glass.
Of course, the blog article is about Thompson and Miyashiro, and openly states so in its title - some here would seem to believe that any positive comment about Thompson, especially, must be biased, which can only be construed, itself, as being a bias, it seems to me...

Wow the decisions on the final spots has gotta be tough. I thought the B Team played really well in the last leg.
I have no idea whether Hugh would go w/ Harmotto or Scott. I think he'll go w/ Scott tho.
Thompson did a really nice job in WGP but so did Glass. She really improved her location on the outside. I don't see how Hugh could not take her given that Berg can struggle and may want blocking options. Thompson was getting destroyed in the front row against Thailand. Wouldn't want to see what happens against Russia or when Brazil gets their groove back.
Haneef seems like a clear pick to me even tho Metcalf was very impressive. Haneef works better in the double sub and like a previous poster said, if Hooker is struggling really badly, the US is in big trouble anyhow. Might as well take the better sub.
Miyashiro vs Richards - I have no clue. That's the toughest decision IMO.

Harmotto is almost a lock. The last MB spot is between Scott and Bown. I think Hugh will go with Bown anyhow.

Never said that Luis isn't biased toward Hawaii girls. I'm not even a big fan of her reporting......grammatical errors everywhere. Even though its a blog, she can still write as if it was going to be in the paper. The difference is, she doesn't bash other players to raise the Hawaii girls. BIG difference.
