UTSA just won C-USA so it looks like we are getting Tx State , A&M and UTSA for rounds 1 and 2.
Should be
Texas A&M vs UTSA TEXAS vs Texas State
Who knows though....Texas is improving match after match, I feel that it will be a fight for Seattle this season and whoever take the title, I will have a ton of respect for, I hope it's Texas again, but there are a handful of teams that can win it all. Who will peak at the right time, the right match? Can't wait!!
Hook em!

Allison's performance against OU last night illustrates what I posted about her after the TCU match. Last night against OU: 4 kills; 4.5 blocks, & 4 digs in addition to her 52 assists. OU on the road was a good test for the Horns. Glad to see Elliott went with his experienced setter. Hope this means he's ready to go with Allison the rest of the way. The hitters need the continuity of knowing who will be setting them match to match.Based on how Hannah's leaning backward, the other team also has the opportunity to know WHERE the ball's going when Hannah sets. lol. She's so not good (I don't want to be negative and say she's really bad)

She certainly does give it away, to make it worse the slide sets are too high and slow. They are nowhere near the speed that McNiel was hitting in 2012. The offense is quite predicable.
1) High outside set 75% of the time 2) Slide 15% of the time 3) One to Chiaka 5% of the time if the pass is perfect 4) Pipe to Eckerman 5% of the time
Collins is a pure, more dynamic setter IMO.

Watching Hannah at the Kansas State game, she did a good job of even distribution. Khat had a monster night and Chiaka continues to impress.

I thought Hannah her best match all year against Kstate as far as set distribution, tempo, location, blocking etc....She had a good all around game. I still think Hannah needs what Chloe has and visa versa.....On another note, congrats to both Haley and Chi....Chi is such an impressive blocker for a freshman and Haley has made really good strides in her game this season. www.big12sports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=106106&SPID=13133&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209323517&DB_OEM_ID=10410

I agree, this was probably Hannah's best match this season but is she performing at the level of a 4 year senior starter? Hannah is an flat out great blocking setter, no questions. Let's hope she can elevate her game thru December.

It looks like the Hannah Haters are rallying a little bit. If you watched the K-State match and you feel particularly compelled to bash the setter, you either have a pathological compulsion or you are baiting other posters. There is nothing Allison can do to change the minds of the Haters. Texas is passing better, varying its offense more, hitting for a high percentage, and getting more consistent. The hating is even more inappropriate than usual right now.

Nell Fortner and Sunderland commented that Texas was making a concerted effort in going more to the middles and RS early and often; Coach Elliott said the same as far as the strategy for Hannah.

I also happen to watch other conferences and can see a marked difference in setting skill. She can block and throw up moon balls. That's it.

Nell also commented on the tilt of the coaches hard hat. Don't get me started on that commentator. Take what Paul says seriously and what she says with a grain of salt. Her commentary is, put kindly, not always spot on.

What does she know - - she's a former basketball player! What also helped was some good passing that made it easier to set our middles. Some really good swings from Chiaka and of course Bell had a great night.
