WOW?? how did USC pull that off. I guess they are getting Bukevic's partner now, Miric?? I feel for the Beach I thought Bukevic/Jackson or Brinke would have been a solid pairing. Maybe Brinke leaves and goes sand only too? USC continues to to poach players. Don't know how she can keep all these players happy with only 6 scholarships. Recruiting during matches is just not right. She does this because she is a scum ball and like so many others are the school, cheats like crazy....too bad that it can't be proven but so much of what takes place in the WVB world today is like this. This lady, and I use that terminology lightly, is someone with zero ethics.....nice role model!

Well USC did as word from players and parents. Which parents? Which players? I'm all ears, since I know most of them. Look, I've known Anna for twenty years (and I've known Brian even longer, FWIW), and she 's a straight shooter. She doesn't cheat, she won't cheat, she doesn't need to cheat. USC is simply a far more attractive program for a good beach player than LBSU. Apologies if that offends Beach homies, but it's the truth.

Last time I checked USC v LBSU is an easy choice for which school I'd rather get a college degree from.
Last time I researched the topic, USC had a commitment to a sand only team, however both schools blew the Misty as coach opportunity, IMHO . However with the mess at the MMTC perhaps Misty will be offered some USC $$ to help the girls out again.
On recruiting players, I rarely ever see BG on the beach at events, USAV HP, etc., yet AC & Fuller are omnipresent. As a player, if you look at the coaches history on the beach choosing Pep, USC , LMU & FSU over someone like LBSU is am easy choice, IMHO

Im surprised USC sand team didn't go after LMU's freshmen Sponcil.

Doesn't seem to be hurting pepperdine's sand program to let their athletes play indoors.

Doesn't seem to be hurting pepperdine's sand program to let their athletes play indoors. It was because of Mick. He didn't want players to be playing both when they can be training indoors for the spring. Somehow it seems to be working recruiting wise considering they are getting some of the top sand players.

It's U$C, they recruit well in every sport. So it's because of Mick, interesting.

And the fact that in their first season a number of indoor athletes, namely Kirby, defected to play sand only.....if anyone knows how hard coaches recruit these players and to have them taken away from your program you would understand where Mick stands.

USC doesn't need to poach or "recruit during matches." Neither does Pepperdine, for that matter. They don't need to, since so many players contact them first. Like Bukevic. I know a couple of sand coaches that will not give releases to players going to USC because of past poaching.

They have one and will soon have a second player, from LBS, both of whom came to LBS to play both indoor and outdoor...yeah, it seems like an easy decision to get a full ride and only have to play about 6 weeks the entire school year, but then again when the kids are recruited and at another school and then they disappear off to Figueroa St. one does NOT have to have a rocket ship in their backyard to reach the conclusion that there MAY HAVE JUST BEEN A LITTLE DISHONEST POACHING/RECRUITING going on...as far as Misty May is concerned I suspect that she may have figured out that her little friend at USC does cheat and has no respect for what other coaches have done with their recruiting and players....not the kind of example that I would want to be setting for my kids...and the poster who said that BG is very honest and ethical, is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

Who did they pick up?? did you mean Meg Norton? Sophie Bukevic. U21 gold medalist. Left LBSU to go sand-only at USC. USC also got Ko Kremer, who left Notre Dame.
