Okay, I think that the UofA womens volleyball team has grown to be one of the Pac-12's volleyball powerhouse. David Rubio has brought this team back up but, not to their Kim Glass days. However, losing a nail-biter to the National Runner-Ups BYU they are definitely a team to keep a look out for. I am interested in what y'all have to say though. This team lost their All-American and arguably one of the UofA's best in history Madi Kingdon, their anchor on the right Taylor Arizobol, their senior libero, and senior middle blocker Rachel Rhoades...
Upcoming year they will still have their All-American setter, tallest players in UofA history Ashley Harris and McKenzie Jacobson (Jacobson who played great games against teams like Stanford), 4-year starter Halli Amaro, along with great defensive specialist. OF those, I believe Laura Larson should start. UofA's 2015 recruiting class is what I am questioning... not so hot I guess...

I hate to burst your bubble, but UofA needs to finish in the top 3 or 4 year after year to be considered a Pac-12 powerhouse. Last year was a good year for them relatively speaking, but the talent they lost probably moves them down a few notches in 2015 which means they will not be top 3 or 4. Dave does a good job generally with the talent he has though. I guess he could recruit better, but it isn't that easy going up against USC, UCLA, UW, and Stanford.

It will be difficult for them to finish as high as they did last year in the Pac 12. However, they have a chance to continue to be very good next year and in the immediate future. The players signed in the fall appear to be a fairly highly recruited class that addresses the need in replacing Kingdon and Arizobol at OH/RS. All four are top 100 recruits from PrepVolleyball's senior aces list (Meghan Buzzerio 6-1 OH #95, Kendra Dahlke 6-0 OH #49, Tyler Spriggs 6-0 OH/RS #37, Sarah Dixon 5-9 S #30). Dahlke is a 6 rotation OH who was MVP of 18 Open division at the Junior Nationals last year for Coast who won the gold medal. Buzzerio, Dahlke, and Dixon are all playing on the Coast 18's team that is a top 10 team nationally and Spriggs and another athletic 2015 commit who can play several positions, Mia Mason, are playing for Miz Long Beach 18's which is also a top 10 18's team. Not sure where the 2015 class will rank nationally, but will be surprised if it is not a top 15 or 20. Also in 2016, they have commits from Shardonee Hays 6-3 MB and Devyn Cross 6-1 MB/OH listed in PrepVolleyball's top 50 juniors list addressing Amaro's graduation at MB after next year.

How are they ever going to replace the libero who would tell anyone that would listen that she didn't want anyone to know that she was related to Kerri Walsh?

Arizona is losing about a zillion touches. Kingdon did everything (and took every even semi-difficult swing) and they also lose the libero and top DS. That will be a struggle for them as it was a team that wasn't great offensively but grinded out points and won through attrition.
Cats are also, somewhat uniquely, simultaneously very big (Harris, Jacobson) and super undersized (Snuka, Amaro).
Is Dahlke still injured? If she is healthy, it's actually a strong recruiting class with a lot of good arms on the pins. But they will be young. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the tourney but most likely see them coming up a bit short in 2015, followed by a fairly strong 2016.

Dahlke played over the weekend for the first time this season in mandatory 1 in the SCVA.

I think Larson is solid and will fill in nicely at libero. That position should not be a worry for the Wildcats.

The group this year was enjoyable to watch because they played as a team. If they can continue to build that same work ethic and attitude with next years players the team should continue to improve despite losing a lot of offense. i expect another successful season.

There are two WVU transfers. LIB and RS UofA has a great libero already in Larson. But, having a new RS from WVU would be so good!!!
