Not much good has come from West Virginia....other than Jerry West, Sam Huff, Pearl S. Buck, Bill Peer and Little Jimmy Dickens. What about Robert Byrd Chuck Yeager? Robert Byrd was born in N.C., so he's a semi-carpetbagger. Yeager, I'll give you. Good catch. But, still, he ain't no Bill Peer.

So, predictions. I think most people had agreed that Texas would be #1 and Wisconsin would be #2, but now that Brooke Morgan, the #12 recruit, is going to Kentucky (wait... just checking... yup, still bitter), where do people now think Wisconsin will end up? If we fall from the 2-spot, who overtakes us? Be careful about putting too much stock in rank order of a recruiting class. For example, here is USC's number 2 ranked class from "way back" in 2013. Ebony Nwanebu, Elise Ruddins, Anne Marie Schmidt, Taylor Whittingham, Kelly Wimmer. How many of these young ladies are still playing for the Trojans? That's right. One. I vote for ranking classes based on what their teams actually achieve in college. Seems a better test of how strong a class was.

Only 1 of these 4 traditional powers will be mentioned in top 30 or even honorable mentions. All have 1 Senior Ace in the 2015 class except Penn State but they have 2 impressive international (well... Canada,PR).
Can the #1 recruit and a FirstTeam DD DS and a 100-250 setter get you into the Top 10 over 2 International players and a 100-250 Libero?
Stanford PennState Washington Florida

Yes, I'd say so.

Look at Nebraska, Wisconsin, USC, Texas... Never meant to imply that these four were the only (or the highest four) traditional powers.

Look at Nebraska, Wisconsin, USC, Texas... Well what do we mean by traditional because Wisconsin's prominence is fairly new. In terms of top 10 or so,teams year-in and year-out, yes Florida and Washington are traditional powers.

Traditionally, Florida is the most versatile. It's a traditional power, a traditional top recruiter, and a traditional disappointment, all in one.

We're getting who we're getting. *fingers crossed for one more* And they will develop how they develop. And I'm pretty darned excited to get to watch them grow and learn and improve. I'm more just wondering about the delta for he Badgers w/wo Morgan. The numbers game. Also trying to spark conversation on something other than the same equine carcasses we've had lying around these past several weeks.
