Funny how the two guys ripping on New Berlin for being disrespectful are the ones who are currently bashing HIGH SCHOOL students for playing with passion. Vballman1234 went after Zeske's older brother the other day thinking it was Matt just shows a lack of knowledge and ignorance. And I also don't recall Campbell sitting down on the court or completely stopping play because he disagreed with a call....once again lack of knowledge and ignorance. But you guys are right, going to 5 sets and creating possibly the best state match in history is definitely letting the refs affect your play... Before telling me I am ignorant and lack knowledge, go back and watch the match on wiaa.tv if you can't remember these instances. 31:12 - At the end of this point Campbell turns away from the net and holds up 2 fingers to signal for a double hit against Waltz. Dallman tips over Campbell because he is not playing, resulting in a kill to win the set 1:13:15 - At the end of this point, Campbell sits down on the court, gets up, points at the ref and says something to him, resulting in a yellow card Coach White, the popcorn please. Alright i did what you asked. I went back and watched the film. There was absolutely no sitting on the court by any player...lack of knowledge and ignorance.

I actually just went back and watched the match between Lack of Knowledge vs Ignorance and you can see wivball15 in the stands cheering for both teams.

Brad told me the forum has been entertaining so I popped some popcorn and went back to start reading. Hilarious for moments and disappointing in other parts. But the popcorn was good.
Here's the deal: Congrats to Kaukauna for beating the #5, #7, #8 & #1 teams in state on your way to winning a record setting 9th state title. Don't know how you guys jump like that but we are watching the old Seinfeld episode with Jimmy and Kramer wearing the jumping shoes hoping that helps in our training. Credit where credit is due and Kaukauna had an amazing season that prior to the start of the season no one saw coming.
Congrats to Matt Szews for winning Player of the Year. Coach Owen rode you like a US Pack Mule and you delivered time and again. You forced your teammates to play at a higher level and you guys beat the #6 and #3 teams in state to make the semifinals.
Congrats to Tom Gulak for winning Coach of the Year. In a year with a lot of great work done by head coaches you've worked with this group for years and it paid off in a big way reaching the state finals for the first time in school history.
As for the other parts of the forum I'm catching up on: MiddletonDad - don't know what kid you are or where you are from but pretty funny. As we all know 60% of all stats are made up and I'd file your posts under that category - however you are entertaining.
Officiating - we all want consistency and that's all we ask. Not saying one way is right or one way is wrong but it will be addressed with WIAA in some capacity. Cannot tell you things will change but all we coaches ask is for consistency.
Move on from the Kettle Moraine vs. New Berlin match. Great, great match. Found myself standing in the crowd a couple of times after plays. The intensity was second to none. However, 53 of us all ended our season with a loss. So instead of ripping on players or coaches, someone better figure out the Kaukauna kids names because they put on a show all weekend.
Good luck to all players and coaches in club and in other winter and spring sports. As I tell my players, you don't have to play club but you damn well better be doing something besides playing Black Ops 3. I love going to watch former players play...I'll be the guy in the stands with the popcorn.

It is crazy to me how much people read and look at this stupid little forum we have. On Friday I had a parent who I never have talked to before come up to me at the concession stand and say how much they enjoyed the comments made on this forum. Was a very nice thing to hear and really took me by surprise. Thank you sir for that and I hope I get a chance to have more conversations with you in the future.
I love how much everyone gets upset about posts made by other people who try and hide behind their little screen name and think they are sharing information. There are a couple people who with a little investigative work you can tell who they are and while they continue to bash certain players, coaches, teams, or clubs think it is funny or helping their own personal agenda. I would never publicly out someone for that as that would be falling into their own trap. For example there is a person on here (no not vballman) who constantly makes attacks against me and MVC any chance they can get. Similar to how vballman and Jay seem to have a little thing going on as well. Sometimes people just do not get along it happens.
As someone mentioned these are high school kids. There will always be questionable actions taken by a high school athlete in the heat of the moment. They are competing to be the best they can be and win for their teammates, school, families, coaches. Who never gets caught up in the heat of the moment and says or does something when they look back at wish they would have done differently i.e. Robin Ventura vs Nolan Ryan?
I know I was all over the map on that one, but had some thoughts I wanted to share. As Ben said what a great state tournament. What a great season. Where's the tylenol?

Thank you to all the coaches and assistant coaches, Athletic Directors and High School programs that support HS Boys Volleyball. Coaches, we parents talk about how thankful we are that you all coach, but you probably don't hear it enough. Parents, thank your coaches and support them, your player and their team, players, thank your parents and your coaches and hit the weights and keep touching the volleyball....to echo some good advice, you can't play Black Opps 3 (or Battlefront) all winter.
