Is Hudson taking a week off or did he get dumped? Bomgrens passing up what would likely be a main draw spot? Are they playing Seaside? I too was surprised the Bomgrens weren't there. I'm not enjoying watching Casebeer slide down the partner list... Is this by choice, or is something up with him where players just don't prefer playing with him?

Served Adam Roberts and his Russian partner off the court.

There isn't a list for Seaside, but it's pretty obvious if that Qualifier list is final quite a few players are skipping the AVP. I don't see local talent even looking to give it a go... I get to Seaside Thursday night and can post a pic of their Men's Open Board if anybody is interested. I'm interested. Thanks for doing that. Does anyone know if there is a cap on how many teams the AVP takes for the qualifier? Do they turn teams away? I can see that some of our local teams may have been turned away based on the strength of the qualifier field, but I can also see that the vast majority of our teams would be committed to Seaside and skip the qualifier. The thing about Seaside is that you have to get your rooms at least six months in advance and they are not cheap. Teams would be walking away from a lot of money if they played the qualifier and made the main draw.

They gave Dalhausser injury points, then.
I can believe I missed some of the lower ranked teams in the Q, but the numbers at the top were good. They made an exception for Phil and allowed an event in from over a year ago.

They made an exception for Phil and allowed an event in from over a year ago. I was wondering if he was going to be eligible for injury points. The play in matches on the men's side of the Q should be pretty good if seeds hold.

Can anyone get bvbinfo? I had it for a while but now just that horrible circle of death swirling and never connecting. Is Periscope doing just men's? That's a new one for me...downloading it now and will get the heated neck wrap while I'm waiting ; )

bvbinfo has been very spotty all morning for me as well. Only periscope I've seen so far has been men's.

Someone said Nick/Phil were playing Sean/Theo in Round 2. WTF? I was so excited for that. If those two don't play this week I am going to be pissed. I haven't looked forward to a match that much in a long time.

Biggest match to watch today, is of course MMT!
11 Hochevar / May-Treanor Match #6 - 10:05 AM Stadium Court 6 McColloch / Stockman
On the Men's side, I see 2 possible upsets in the 1st round. But wouldn't be surprised if it went Chalk.
11 Casebeer / Olson Match #6 - 10:10 AM Court 3 6 Crabb / Tramblie
7 Rogers / Slick Match #7 - 9:05 AM Court 3 10 Jennings / Kolinske
