If the Committee had switched Penn State and Stanford both regionals might have been more attractive by allowing different conferences to advance to the finals. Having said that, I believe Penn State got a great draw. They split with Minnesota in the conference season, and while Minnesota has a stronger setter and more consistent passing, the Lions have more physical talent at the net. I see a Minnesota / Penn State final as even.

I like this draw for Illinois, we swept Louisville in the regular season and took Minnesota to five at their place. We won't be the favorite against either team, but I think we have a better chance at making a run in this regional than any other. Completely agree, it's a relatively good draw. After an up and down season, Louisville to get to the sweet 16 looks pretty good. Louisville is a team that could make a run to the regional finals. They took MN to 5 early in the season. They did get swept by IL in the first match of the season, however, the set scores were 25-27, 23-25, and 24-26.

If I was great at predicting sports outcomes, I'd be at Vegas instead of wasting my talents on this forum. Also, I wouldn't bet too much otherwise I'll attract the attention of nefarious types (e.g., the government) who will hunt me down and imprison me in a remote off-the-books facility in the desert so that they can exploit my talents.
