unless it will be a recruit, MN will not have girls on the JNT. JNT will be girls born in 98 and 99. Actually, was thinking of the Europe tour team (my bad): Two Gophers are on that team. Note that their schools can optionally cover the costs of the China tour ($3,395) and Europe tour ($1,950). If not, the players (or their parents) have to pay.

No Nikki Taylor...interesting. I can't imagine there being that many right side hitters better than Nikki Taylor in the collegiate game right now. If any at all. Nikki has proven to be one of the best, if not THE BEST, right side hitter in the college game. Her overall skills out perform any other contender. Top server, good on defense, top blocker. Overall game is second to none, but I'm a little biased. But I'm sure many will agree, like Hawaii or not.

Noticing out of the 60 collegiate players selected for these USAV teams there are 0 from Nebraska, Penn St., or Wisconsin. Any insight on how this works or how these teams coaches approach sending athletes to this program?

Any insight on how this works or how these teams coaches approach sending athletes to this program? The simple answer is that no players from those teams tried out and so therefore none could have made any of the teams. But the real question is why no one tried out. And I have no idea why that was the case.

And I have no idea why that was the case. Big Ten does field their own team which plays in the summer. That may be one reason, along with some players wanting to rest or have other plans, such as summer school work.

So is that it? None of the others that have tried out will make any other teams? Would a few be sent right to the senior teams?

Big Ten conference sent a team to Europe last year during the summer. I think it's going to be an every other year thing.
I assume that the Wisconsin players chose not to try out because they preferred to stay on campus training together as a team and taking classes over the summer.
