Heres a short recap of todays game for those who didn't get to watch. I thought the past years were more exciting than this, not sure if its based on the players who are on this team or the skill level in the past. But todays game didn't really have much to show.
The one player that stood out was Azariah Stahl. She was the hardest hitter in the match and led her team in kills. She wasn't super consistent but she put the ball away the ball quite often. Her teammate Jaali Winters was good as well. Great all-around player and has a nice variety of shots. This outside hitter duo was pretty hard to go up against.
For Team White, I would say most of their points came off of Team Blue's errors. Gia Milana is going to be good for Maryland for sure. She was alright today but her power and shot selection was good. The other outside Danielle Cattino used her height to her advantage hitting over the block and straight down. Her back row and service game need some work, surprised they left her in the back row. Katie Horton played two sets and she has a nice serve. Nothing fancy with her but one of those more consistent players rather than go to players.
Its hard to judge any of these middles because most of the game was out of system so there weren't as many middle sets. If there were any middle sets the setters and middles had very poor connections with the only result of kills being tips, pushes, or tools off the block. But I would blame the lack of practices together as a team as a factor to this since they don't get to work together a lot.

Cuttino at OH? Is Purdue looking to move her to the outside next season too?
