Carlini text/email to Karch - "Coach Kiraly, I cannot make it to the try-outs because I have some exams, but am interested in playing for the US Collegiate National Team this summer"
Karch text/email reply - "Lauren, that is great news! Would you like to go to Europe or Asia?.............. or maybe even Brasil."

Minnesota- I've never seen a school take their whole roster? (except Morgan that is coming back from knee surgery). Even girls that hardly play- interesting.

Makes me wonder if Hugh will be there too. The girls improved so much in the off season last year that I'm not going to second guess this decision. Go Gophers.

I've never understood the Puerto Rico deal. It's part of the USA. Can't they play for USA?

I've never understood the Puerto Rico deal. It's part of the USA. Can't they play for USA? They are still their own country and have their own national team programs. There is a difference between being a territory and a state.

I understand that. But COULD they play for the USA? Don't know if it applies to all sports but in 1992 and 1996 Olympics Puerto Rican tennis player Gigi Fernandez played doubles for the USA with Mary Joe Fernandez (no relation and not Puerto Rican) and won gold both years.
