Historical backdrop: I've been on this board for over 13 years and being a Stanford grad have been on the defensive for at least 10 of those years by threads created by fans of East of the Mississippi River dominated conferences about how overrated were conferences on the western side of the mighty Missipp. Payback, (R) and others. Take away the Big 12 runaway interloper, Nebraska, the Big 10 would be even further behind the Pac 12 and WCC than it is unexpectedly already. Is Minnesota, the Big 10's seemingly other high quality team (which earlier lost 3-0 to and at Stanford) the only B1G worthy of a top 20 ranking? Sheesh!! Why would anyone take Nebraska away? I don't get the reasoning. They're an actual Big 10 team. They chose to join. Are you saying only original members of conferences should be considered when assessing conference quality/strength? That's ridiculous.

For all the talent on their roster, Cal looks pretty atrocious. It's going to be a very long season for them.

Pulling The Donald bluff, are you, (R)uffda!? Disirregardless. I don't recall years of threads to the effect Pac12 was "way+" above Big10 or others; above? yes. Disirregardless??

On most nights St Mary's (school for the blind) could beat Indiana. I am sure Indy could get over on Savannah St though

Gametracker says Pitt defeated Michigan. Really thought Michigan was going to be good this year... 2 matches in one day. You never know. And Pittsburgh is good. As is Coastal Carolina, who they played earlier that day and swept. Guess what happened when CC played Pitt? That's right. Another A beats B beats C beats A.

Well the Big 10 went 26-12 in week 3 for a 68% winning percentage...4 of those wins were in 5 and could have easily have been losses...I surely think the big 10 is the best conference this year, but they surely aren't this dominant force. Except for week 1, which IMO should be the week that should count the least as all teams are working in new players, fresh off of summer break etc. etc., the Big 10 has been pretty much on par with the Pac-12 in terms of conference win percentage.

Ok then u have to take the loses that went 5 and say they could have been wins. You can't just go one way. Their were 4 they lost in 5 so it pretty much balances out. Be even, not one sided. Looking at it your way I can do opposite and just look at loses and say BIG could have been 30-8. That's why u can't look at it like that.

Be even, not one sided True, but my point was the fact that they are GOING 5 with so many matches including teams like Pittsburgh, Towson, Princeton, Ole Miss, Green Bay whether they win or lose them, kind of proves the point that the Big 10 isn't this dominant force. the best? yes, I 100% agree, dominant or that much better than the Pac-12? no.

I knew you were gonna do that. U can't pick and choose only what suits your point. Your reaching. Otherwise u can pick it apart so many different way. What teams were playing with injuries, what were the home away splits, who swept more of their games and on and on and on.
