USC is running a thin line with a charmed existence so far this season.
They have had several squeakers winning 3-2 matches on the third set by 2 or 3 points. Those are coin tossed they just aren't going to keep winning if they don't clean up some play.
On strength of schedule and travel tested they are pushing themselves to be ready for Gulf Shore while teams like Pep & UCLA devour Northridge or Bakersfield & St. Mary's.
I see a repeat of FSU & USC in finals if the brackets are set correctly .

I'll agree with the USC part, but FSU is a bit shaky. Maybe UCLA or Pepperdine, and I would probably pick UCLA if I had to choose one of em'. USC wins.

The question about Sophie Bukovec's health reminded me that she might have one year of eligibility left. She is a fourth/Fifth year senior, but transferred in after seemingly playing indoor for two years in Canada and CSULB. The USC site says this is her final year at USC, but I was just wondering. www.usctrojans.com/sports/w-svolley/mtt/sophie_bukovec_947611.html

She does have one more season left, although I don't think she's using it. She only spent one semester at LBSU, so she's still eligible under the "five years to play four" rule.

Wow, just learned today that Alice Pizzasegola is the team manager, LOL. Alice is both intelligent and social. She accepted the position when Katie Fuller was promoted.

What did she do to foster so much hate from you??

USC only has 4 home matches this year since not many teams want to play them on their home court. They doing the same venue when Cal comes down to play. Team, then pairs. KC has almost missed more practices than she has attended this year. Her training is off, her conditioning is off compared to past three years and her level off play is no where near peak from last summer. Actually very sad to see and doesn't bode well for a future on the pro tour, imho. Wow, there has been a lot of things said about these USC players simply because they are the best doesn't mean they should be treated this way... with someone saying Sophie B out is good and saying how she could break an ankle and the user would be happy about it and she deserves it... to these rude comments on Kelly Claes... First of all how would you know that she is missing more practices than she's attending as well as knowing/watching her training/conditioning... are you some creep and stalking her because that is very alarming and should be told to USC so this poor girl is safe. Even if she has a year with injuries or whatever the matter, there's no need to talk about a college kid like this. Who knows if she or even her family reads this and you are just so disrespectful regarding her playing and her life. I feel bad for the student athletes that are spoken about like this, it's just a shame. The pair of Claes & Hughes are still the best in the nation and yet you are bashing on one of them. So pathetic... Hopefully USC wins everything (like they have been! or so it seems like from their online stats) and proves you wrong about this pair. Another note, I hope KC and SH out perform everyone on their pro tour and shuts you up about them.

Well USC still has LBSU and UCLA, at home, to get thru for undefeated.
If they are going to lose one, my guess is it may be at the PAC12 tournament.

Thanks mom. You a conspiracy theorist?
So the level of play equal or lower than last year?
Correct, it's lower. Dropping 3 sets, almost 5, and a match against Utah.
Blocking & hitting percentage also lower.
In a senior year this team should be crushing opponents and it's not, with quite a few squeakers . Please explain why if KC is at her peak & highly focused.
The teammates are well aware of the performance & attendance slips, since your not, you must not be an unbiased fan of her game. A true fan would want to see her at her best, and not lay excuses at courtside.
Consistency has been her lynchpin. The difference between good & great. Personally since I've seen greatest come & go in her game, any ardent fan would want to see the best in and for her.

To my knowledge, they are 26-0. m.usctrojans.com/m/sports/w-svolley/spec-rel/040417aaa.html

Personally since I've seen greatest come & go in her game, any ardent fan would want to see the best in and for her. First off, do you even know what a conspiracy theorist is? So you are saying that because they are coming close and dropping a few sets it is literally all one partners fault? Seems like all you say is crap against this poor kid. It also seems like you are blaming all of these sets on one person when they are a "team" in my opinion they haven't lost anything so there really isn't anything to be said. Wait so the stats I saw where they keep beating teams 21-10 is not considered crushing opponents? Damn if that isn't crushing a team...what is? Sure stats could be up and down but that's the life of any athlete. Like if we talked basketball were MJs stats always perfect no, especially not in college. Okay so are you simply a player on the team that is bashing on your own teammate online, because that's even worse of you. Unbiased fan?... how is bashing on some kid wanting/helping her to become great. You are just some jerk that has nothing better to do than be online hiding behind a screenname. Bet you wouldn't ever say this to that kid in real life at a game. Speaking of consistency, that is literally every players problem... pretty sure consistency falls for both her and her partner so if one goes wrong hey are both in the wrong in most cases. I honestly don't care good, great or fantastic if a player is trying there best and has an off year who cares they are trying. Ill become a fan when they reach the pro tour officially, but college season isn't anything new to them so why try your hardest. Whatever helps you sleep at night baby girl.
