Looks like Alexa Ito is no longer listed on the 2017 roster...hmmm. Sure wish her well if she is moving on to another program or just to different endeavors. Ahhh well, I want to say that's unfortunate but hopefully she's on to better things for herself!

I know this is just a complex university brand promotion designed to further merchandise, ticket sales, and fan engagement on social media... but I would be lying if I said I didn't live for this stuff: fightforiowa.hawkeyesports.com/There is so much pride about being a native Iowan and I think it's cool for Hawkeyes who were born out of state to real be immersed in our culture and learn about why we love our state so much. By far my favorite part about this is the "Fight for Iowans", from the site: "From the farmers in the fields to researchers finding cures for cancer, Iowa is home to the most dedicated and hard-working individuals. The University of Iowa Athletic Department is committed to honoring and recognizing individuals who proudly represent the Hawkeye State. The department is accepting nominations of individuals who best embody the values, determination, and integrity that Iowa stands for. Whether it is an individual who has made a significant impact in their community or contributed to a significant accomplishment, we are looking for people who consistently fight to represent themselves, their families, and their state. This year, seven individuals will be selected and recognized during a home football game at Kinnick Stadium." Kinnick Stadium is such an electric environment, Carver as well during basketball and wrestling meets. With attendance on the up I hope to see volleyball create the same atmosphere our most successful teams embody. And of course, I'll be regularly contributing to the "Fight for Iowa Friday" It's also nice to see our volleyball girls featured in the poster pack. T-minus 39 days until kickoff out on the West Coast!

Noticed that now Madi Dahl, very recent 2017 DS commit, is no longer listed on the updated roster.

What is the prognosis for Taylor Louis? Will she be taking the lion's share of swings?

What is the prognosis for Taylor Louis? Will she be taking the lion's share of swings? Yes, but she certainly won't be taking as large a load as she did at Marquette, where she was given 800+ more attempts than the next highest attacker. Bond runs a remarkably steady offense looking more like: OH1: 25% OH2: 25% RS: 16.67% MB1: 16.67% MB2: 16:67% I'm sure with a pin as lethal as Louis those numbers will skew slightly more in her favor but Orr is also a true gunslinger. I expect to see a lot of gutsy sets to the middles and rightside. Keala's offense management last season was incredible, we'll see this season how much of that influence came directly from the bench.

Looks like assumption is Louis will play OH and be 6-rotation player??

Looks like assumption is Louis will play OH and be 6-rotation player?? I would think we have her in six rotations, for sure. There's so many pieces to play around with on the pins. Aside from Louis, we have Buzzerio/Reuter/Sheehan/Coyle/Alm. Having Louis on the right takes Coyle and Alm out of the equation and considering how well Coyle performed last season and the sheer size of Alm I don't think that's something you just write off. I think having Buzz, Reuter, and Sheehan battle it out for that OH2 spot seems ideal.

That's not really iowa's set distribution is it?
