Nobody stops Clevenot on match point! With all respect to Lyneel but I didn't get why Clevenot wasn't used more in the latter half of the tourney. He's a steady player. Anyway, Félicitations France! Truly the team of the tournament.

Truly the team of the tournament. IMO Lyneel is a better passer, but France has so many good outsides. They are scary good. Congrats to France!

VOWWWW, I`m socked, the young French team beat Brazil at home...
Their 19 year old had a good match Clevenot (22) and the Gold Point. Nobody is this French team is over 30. Nobody on the French side felt a single drop of pressure.
I think Boyer should be MVP>
Will be tough for any team to beat them in the World Championship.
Go France...

If the MVP is based only in the final I guess Ngapeth deserved, but it is based on the whole tournament it should have gone to Boyer. Remember Ngapeth did not even play at all in the Preliminary round ( only played a few points against Belgium). But anyways....All the awards were well deserved.

Yet who has the Olympic medal? It's really hard to compare the very best that Canada has for several years with a foreigner coach vs the US team that we didn't expect to get out of pool. It's not that hard. Our best team that won bronze also lost to Canada in the Olympics. Oh, and they were coached by a Canadian at the time. What's the excuse there? Canada has finally gotten out of Group 2 and been rising and rising. But, hey, if you want to downplay the threat of Canada, go ahead. Canada is doing a lot of things right and improving their program. USA has a lot of work to do.
