For the women, I'd still say Kerri Walsh Jennings. There are so many players with potential, but no one has taken that big step. If not KWJ, I'd probably go Summer Ross as she's still growing. Day/Hochevar are one of those teams were the whole is greater than the sum of the parts....the chemistry is just there for them. For the men, I go Taylor Crabb. He's got the ability to be really good for a long, long time. Was so going for Nicole & Brandie! Can't stand Hochever....Never could...Never will....I love Em Day though!

Kerri Walsh....Not even playing and still beats all these others by a mile or two!!!! She was reppin up Nicole,on Twitter though! Good Job Kerri! Way to be a support system!! Its definitely Kerri except she is injured and maybe done for good. I meant if we assume she isn't playing. I think it could be Emily Day, but she gets a lot of serves

So if April picked up Emily they would win more than April/Lauren? I don't see it. Especially on the FIVB.

I think Emily/April would be as good or better than April/Lauren. That assumes Emily could go to the right and be as good as she is on the left. Emily is a more dynamic player than Lauren and is younger. I think adjusting for seed and partner, their FIVB results are similar and this year, their FIVB results, with one exception, are largely the same, and Lauren has spent the year with April

Fully expects to be on the FIVB tour with Nicole next summer. Nicole says the same!! She ain't done winning yet!!!

But Nicole still has to play on AVP since she's signed the agreement.

She doesn't HAVE to play AVP, if NVL comes back she couldn't play that. IF the player agreements roll over year to year.

Don't forget April was out for a few events due to injury. And even when they played on Gstaad, she hadn't fully recovered. Good thing her toe was more of less recovered by the World Champs. April is healthy & fine now... If she is healthy why was she serving left-handed against the 32 seed? Wouldn't that be a bit disrespectful and poor sportsmanship if she were doing it just for fun?

If the nvl comes back next year and an avp md player plays nvl, are they then barred from the avp for the duration of the 4 year contract ?

You said she "HAS" to play AVP, I was just stating that isn't technically right. She could chose not to play either, like Kerri.

Even in Vienna they had to win 4 3-set matches and were just a few points away from another disappointing 17th. I think April would do at least as well with Emily and perhaps much better. I do wonder about Emily moving to the right because she has such a wide approach on the left. At some point April might want to think about playing the right side in order to get a better partner and extend her career.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just it's hard to compare.
