Fendross take a 9th place finish at the world tour finals. That's quite disappointing.
SummerSweat on 3rd set for tiebreak. Current score is 6-12.
The other Swiss team still in.

A Laura/Kira and Melissa/Sarah semifinal looks highly possible.
Laura/Kira takes Anouk and Joana.
Melissa/Sarah take Tanja/Nina

A Laura/Kira and Melissa/Sarah semifinal looks highly possible. Laura/Kira takes Anouk and Joana. Melissa/Sarah take Tanja/Nina I think Anouk/Joana match up well with LL/Kira. Both Summer/Brooke and Canada B let good chances to advance go by. Not sure why but a lot of top teams look a little lethargic this week. Talita was giving away points and Larissa didn't seem to mind a bit, maybe she was just that sure of eventually winning. So far still on path for the best 4 teams in the semis, with Swiss and Germany 2 looking to be the best bet to pull an upset. Its odd that this year has almost been a cold weather tour, going from snow in Russia to mild to cold weather almost everywhere else. Lets get these players on a mid-Atlantic beach in late July and see how they hold up.

Maybe their mentality changed, but don't see how Brooke and Summer weren't able to handle them. I mean they defeated Larissa and Talita yesterday. Same with April and Lauren. I had 90% hopes that they would he able to take down Anouk and Joana. As for Canada Team B, Brandie and Heather, I still don't feel they would be able to take down the Brazilians, which they didn't.

7-4 right now Germany vs Swiss girls and Switzerland call a timeout.
It'll take a lot from Switzerland to take this win!
I read from one of their articles that Kira Walkenhorst had to seek treatment right after their match with Summer and Brooke yesterday. Not sure if it's an injury again. But they said they would not withdraw from the tournament.

Laura got a set maybe 8-9 feet off the net and Anouk was in the angle. LL hit a slow cut shot about five feet deep and 3-4 feet from the sideline and Anouk somehow didn't come close. Joana looks angry at her partner, not for the first time this event

If the Swiss ladies break up this winter, Anouk's choice to try to one ball LL from 15 feet deep in her own side on a free ball may have been the final straw.
If not Anouk making a bad pass, which Joana saved, then bumping the ball out of bounds for no discernible reason may have been. Tough to watch a team fall apart this way

Germany beat Swiss team A. Canada on the way to beat Swiss team B. Top seeds really flexing their muscles against the Swiss now. Two beatdowns Ignorant British announcer says that one Swiss player has expended 180kCals and jumped 30 times and that Pavan has jumped 36 times and expended 196 kCals. Then says that is why the Canadians are winning. Dain agrees but this is nonsensical gibberish. Dain is awful, at least the British guy honestly doesn't seem to know much

Dain, "we haven't seen this kind of back and forth in the quaterfinals before." Its 4-4 in the first Dain. I feel a lot of the time Dain is just doing the old school radio DJ and talking to keep talking or trying to tell a story whether or not there is really much truth to it
