Is there any estimate as to how long Crocker will be out? Haven't heard anything official. She injured her ankle last week in practice, didn't dress this past weekend and was in a boot with her leg elevated. Kayla Bair filled in very nicely and it doesn't sound like the coaching staff is too concerned. Really great opportunity for Bair.

Week 8 Rosen Report. Interesting to hear him touch on the strategy around scheduling for RPI.

A milestone for Mark and Leisa Rosen last night:
And in bigger news, Mark Rosen gets a contract extension through 2020:

Thought I would bring this bluepenquin post over from last week's RPI Futures thread: Let's talk about Michigan. Michigan has slipped to #14 in RPI Futures. Their resume in terms of RPI wins is something similar (worse) than UCF and Cal Poly. Here is a list of Michigan's 9 best wins in terms of RPI Futures rank: Purdue - 23 Colorado State - 40 High Point - 55 Valparaiso - 56 Notre Dame - 57 Notre Dame - 57 Indiana - 59 Ohio State - 60 Iowa - 62 They are 1-3 against the top 25 and 1-0 against the top 50. Some of those teams on this list could get inside the Top 50. They have T25 matches remaining against Wisconsin 2X, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Penn State. Say they win one of these and go 2-7 against the T25 and 3-7 against the T50 - does this get them a seed? I wouldn't assume they get a seed with a T16 RPI. I think Michigan needs to win 2 out of 5 against the big dogs in order to secure seed. A win this weekend would go a long way towards that end.

I think just 1 gets the job done. 6-4 to end the year would give Michigan an average RPI rank of 12.5 - so the RPI would be sufficient to be a seed. The lack of T25 wins could put them in jeopardy if they were to finish 15 or 16 in RPI, but I would like their odds. There is still a chance if they lose all of them and go 5-5. There would be a 50% chance of having an RPI 16 or better, but with just 1 T25 win. They would need some help with some other teams failing.

Rosen Report, Week 11. Mac was injured at some point during the Wisconsin match, and coach mentions that they didn't know the severity until the match was over. He also sounds like she may not be available for Indiana, which is a huge concern. Plus, a bonus mention of the legendary Sandy Vong.

Ouch - hope she’s not out too long - Welsh is a fun player to watch - however, you can do a lot worse than having O’Leary as a backup.

I feel like the O'Leary redshirt has been a done deal since at least the Penn State match. That we didn't see her on Saturday against Minnesota with a legit Welsh injury tells you for certain that you will not see her on the floor this season. Abbott is a better setter than Rocafort, and both are defensive liabilities. If Weslh is out every match will be a struggle for Michigan, regardless the opponent. Specifically expect a decline in Skjodt's production, something Mark Rosen refers to in the video and something we saw in the spring season whenever O'Leary subbed in. Carly and Mac have their connection down and the offensive rhythm is askew with anyone else running the show.
