Final four is set for tomorrow morning in 18 Open. Finals at 11:00ET and will air on ESPN3 Munciana vs. Far Out, 8:00am Sports Performance (SPRI) vs Team Indiana, 8:00am That little Far Out club from Michigan medalled in 18 open (with a team of MAC kids), nearly beating Muncie (13-15 in the third) to make the gold medal match, their 15s took second in 15 premier, their 13s took third in 13 club, and their 17s finished fifth in 17 premier with nearly all sophomores. And they won the 16 club and 16 premier national championships last year. Kinda an impressive run.

Landfairs contact point is so low for someone with so much height, range, ability yada yada yada. at least it’s gotten a little higher and plays with a little more of a killer instinct. Still not where it should be though She was going easily over the block. She touches near 11 feet, so I guess a contact point around 10' is going to look "low."

Even on the WNT the "best" American setters are putting our highest flyers (i.e. Foluke) too low consistently in the VNL Finals.

Speaking of, does anyone know why FaR Out and Dead Frog decided to stop merging their top teams?

I don’t have many specifics though unfortunately.

I don’t have many specifics though unfortunately. I think there might have been some complicated components, but I think the main thing was that it just no longer made sense to ask every family to commute between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo every week for practices.

I think there might have been some complicated components, but I think the main thing was that it just no longer made sense to ask every family to commute between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo every week for practices. What was the situation with that? I knew there had to be some driving obviously. But wasn’t it like 1 day at each and then position training at your closer site? Or something like that?
