If Mayer is injured and out for Seattle in 2 weeks, that's going to be one interesting partner swap for sure. Don’t think Mayer is injured. Just lost to 2 teams that can beat them if they’re playing well. And Trevor/Mayer are the only AVP team missing Seattle for Czech FIVB. Gotcha, agreed on their losses, some seem to be pushing them to top-tier AVP status versus upper mid-card status.

Theo & John's shorts are hideous.

And can anyone explain how a pro athlete like Theo is cool with his rotund-ish belly?

Tim B now discussing the differences between playing with Taylor and Eric as diplomatically as he possibly can.

Says Taylor is such a good communicator and defender, reason Eric and he struggled, couldn't get momentum, got down early couldn't recover. E's attitude isn't going to help that recovery.

Chase B building on Laguna, playing so much better, great to see him starting to get it.

Well, Casey and Stafford are out. Went 14-16 in the third set to Chase and Rosie.

Chase may be turning a corner. The nerves seem to be done at least. He made some big time plays down the stretch of that third set. Still impressed with how effortlessly and accurately he passes.

That's his fluidity at play, rare to see in a larger athlete, that's what makes them so special: LeBron, Phil, etc.

They even ran motion offense twice down the stretch in that game with Chase back setting Rosie. I think Chase’s next step offensively is to get a high line shot to counter his wrist away angle. He timidly tries to use hands when going line far too often. Rosie has to be v pleased and even relieved that they are finally coming together.

Chase looks so much better. Way more fluid like most of y’all have already pointed out. Seems like he much more confident in his approach and how high he can jump. Sucks that Rosie just couldn’t put it together with his back. Seems like this always happens once things steady out with his partner. Some kind of injury creeps in. Really sucks. Also, is Hyden just that unlikeable or is it just me?

Agreed, he has Zaun Syndrome for sure. Did anyone watch Reid get destroyed by Ryan/Billy? What happened? Hit negative percentage, roofed over & over?

Played well in a close one against Phil/Nick and absolutely shut Reid/Jeremy down.

Played well in a close one against Phil/Nick and absolutely shut Reid/Jeremy down. Reid especially could not figure Ryan out. Ryan was also serving them off the court. Have to wonder how much two three set matches and then about a 20 minute break before coming back on against a fresh Ryan/Billy played into it. That should have been a relatively even match but ended up as a clinic. Pays to stay in the winners bracket!
